This expansion underlines Bavaria’s dedication to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals and solidifying its position as a leading hub for medical education in Germany. 👩⚕️👨⚕️ Bavaria’s renowned medical faculties, including those at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, Universität Regensburg, and the newest addition at Universität Augsburg, provide state-of-the-art training environments. Additionally, regional campuses like the Medizincampus Oberfranken at Universität Bayreuth and others continue to play a crucial role in training future healthcare professionals throughout the state. 🎓 With nearly 20,000 students currently enrolled in medical programs, this investment by Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst ensures Bavaria remains a leader in medical research, innovation, and healthcare excellence. 🩺 The ongoing expansion of study places is a significant step in shaping a robust, future-oriented healthcare system in Bavaria. Another successful Bits & Pretzels has come to an end! 🥨🌟 The event was packed with impactful sessions, starting with Anna Katharina Schennach guiding the UK delegation on an insightful tour of SAP, and UVC Partners, Die Techniker Krankenkasse, where they explored key resources for expanding to Bavaria. We hosted a workshop for international startups, with Katharina Kees, Simon Wittmann, and others offering insights into Bavaria’s key sectors. BayStartUP covered networking, Bayern Kapital discussed fundraising, and UnternehmerTUM showcased entrepreneurial programs to support expansion. 🤝💙 A side event by the Hungarian Innovation Agency also featured a compelling presentation by Simon Wittmann on Bavaria’s strengths and opportunities for innovative companies, offering a strong case for expansion. A key panel, "Empowering Global Growth with VC’s and Public Co-Investment in Bavaria – the OroraTech Case," moderated by Carsten Rudolph (BayStartUP), featured Martin Langer (OroraTech), Markus Mrachacz (Bayern Kapital), and Wolfgang Neubert (APEX Ventures), highlighting the role of government and VC support in scaling startups like OroraTech globally. On Monday, Simon Wittmann presented Bavaria as a business location as part of the workshop for the Bulgarian delegation on "Entering the German Tech Market: Opportunities for Southeast Europe" by Kristina Kuneva and Teodor Antonio Georgiev.
