🌎 Our CEO Harvengt Anne and CFO Anne-Laure LION COLIN crossed the Atlantic last week for a close-up view of our operations in South America.   👷♀️ Tractebel has offices in Chile and Brazil, where we deliver our full set of expertise for energy and built environment projects.  ⚡ The journey began in #Chile, where Tractebel has played a key role in #hydroelectric plants, #energy transmission and distribution lines, data centers, battery energy storage systems, and green #hydrogen projects. In fact, our experts generated the first Chilean #GreenHydrogen molecule in 2022.  🏙 They then headed to Brazil, where Tractebel has been active for six decades. First stop:  Florianópolis, one of six locations in #Brazil where we have offices, where Anne and Anne-Laure were pleased attend several meetings in the company of Thierry Saegeman, Executive Vice President of the ENGIE Group.  📍 Last stop Rio de Janeiro, where our CEO and CFO visited clients Voltalia in the hydrogen segment and ENGIE TAG, owner of the #GasFor project.  🌱 Our vast portfolio of projects across the region has directly impacted the country's social and economic development. Many of our projects in Brazil have helped drive the energy transition, in line with our purpose of engineering a carbon-neutral future.  🤝 These five whirlwind days of valuable exchanges and interactions with our teams and clients in #SouthAmerica were highly productive, focusing on our current operations across our various markets, strategies, and planned actions to continue our #sustainable growth in Chile and Brazil.  #WeAreTractebel #engineering #EngineeringACarbonNeutralFuture 

🚀 The GMEC ENDEL-TRACTEBEL consortium launches its intervention to replace the primary circuit component at the Blayais nuclear site! The intervention carried out by ALTRAD ENDEL has been prepared and supported by Tractebel. 🎉 ALTRAD ENDEL site teams organised two weeks ago an event to celebrate the beginning of the intervention to replace the C elbow of Unit 3's loop 3 at the Blayais nuclear power plant in France. Tractebel's Chief Global Nuclear Officer Denis Dumont participated in the event. ⚛ As part of the long-term operation programme of the French nuclear fleet (“grand carénage”), Tractebel is supporting EDF to replace components of the primary loop damaged by thermal ageing. Our experts carried out mechanical studies and advanced civil works to prepare the intervention at Blayais. 👷♂️ 👩💼 Several Tractebel team members are on site until September during the intervention. They will take an active part in monitoring on-site activities. Experts and calculators are still involved and will be on call during crucial moments. 🤝 Close collaboration between ENDEL, Tractebel and the subcontractors with the client EDF's nuclear fleet engineering division (DIPDE) and nuclear power generation centre (CNPE) has been and will be key to the success. Tive o prazer de ser convidado pela WNU como palestrante para apresentar o caso da Usina Nuclear de Angra 3, RJ, no módulo New Build, na edição de 2024 do Summer Institute, no Rio de Janeiro, e para participar do painel de discussão sobre os casos apresentados pelos palestrantes da manhã. Foi uma experiência enriquecedora compartilhar esse momento com uma turma tão engajada e aprender com as diversas perspectivas apresentadas. Gostaria de expressar meus agradecimentos à World Nuclear University, e em especial a Sama Bilbao y Leon, Isis Leslie, Raquel Heredia Silva e Karyna Zamari, pela acolhida calorosa e pelo excelente trabalho na organização do evento. It was an enriching experience to share this moment with such an engaged class and to learn from the diverse perspectives presented. ⚛ Training nuclear engineers for the future! Twenty Tractebel engineers graduated from the Nuclear Trainees' Programme's 16th edition organised by the Nuclear Business Unit of ENGIE Belgium Electrabel.   👩🎓 The graduation ceremony took place on 30 May in Brussels, Belgium. Lorraine Mertens, Nuclear HR Head, Denis Dumont, Chief Global Nuclear Officer and Xavier Delhaye, Nuclear Technical Director, presented the graduates who were physically present with their diplomas.   👨🔬 This programme's edition lasted around 18 months and was tailored to align with Tractebel's business strategies and priorities. The subjects included nuclear safety, long-term operation, waste and decommissioning, medical applications, Small Modular Reactors, fusion, European Pressurized Reactor, and neutronics. ⚛ Tractebel sponsored the Nuclear Innovation Conference 2024 organised by NRG|PALLAS in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on 5-6 June! 💡 Eleonora Lambridis, Head of Innovation Lab, delivered a speech about how our company's innovations can help streamline the deployment of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). SMRs are Smaller, Simpler and Standardized Modular Reactors. They can offer a sustainable and reliable solution to the industry by complementing intermittent renewables, producing clean hydrogen near end-users, and providing electricity and heat to the hard-to-abate sectors. 💻 Tractebel has developed digital tools to help nuclear and industrial stakeholders identify the best-fit technology and assess the profitability of their SMR project.
