The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) collaborates with AIS Academy to launch the "JUMP THAILAND HACKATHON 2024," showcasing 15 innovations created by the younger generation to improve the quality of life for the elderly and people with disabilities.   Mr. Anukul Peedkaew Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), presided over the award ceremony for the winning team of the "JUMP THAILAND HACKATHON 2024" with the challenge, "How can we use digital technology to improve the quality of life for the elderly and people with disabilities?" This event reinforced the mission of "Thinking Ahead," emphasizing that innovation is an opportunity to create equality for Thai people. The winning team was awarded the royal trophy from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn along with a cash prize of 100,000 baht. Other teams received prizes totaling 200,000 baht, as well as the opportunity to work with AIS after graduation and to develop their projects with the MSDHS. AIS encourages Thai people to recognize their self-worth, empowering them to overcome all forms of online bullying on Stop Cyberbullying Day. Every third Friday of June, the Cyber Smile Foundation has designated it as International Stop Cyberbullying Day. In recent years, Thai society has become increasingly aware of this issue. Both public and private sectors, including AIS, have raised awareness about online bullying or cyberbullying to promote a better understanding of constructive internet usage and social media interaction. Even though many people are now familiar with bullying, it is undeniable that online bullying still exists. Therefore, on this year’s Stop Cyberbullying Day, AIS, through its AIS Aunjai CYBER initiative, aims to encourage Thais to value and believe in themselves. This initiative seeks to build resilience, enabling individuals to overcome online bullying experiences and offering another way to cope with bullying and navigate life in the digital age more effectively. GULF – AIS – HRDI Join Forces to Create Opportunities to Improve the Quality of Life for Remote Communities, Moving Towards Sustainable Growth Together with the "Green Energy Green Network for THAIs" Initiative.   Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited, or GULF, a leading regional organization in sustainable energy and infrastructure, has joined forces with Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited, or AIS, a leading digital network provider in Thailand, and the Highland Research and Development Institute (Public Organization), or HRDI. Together, they are advancing efforts to improve the quality of life for Thai people in remote areas by providing access to essential infrastructure services. This collaboration leverages the strengths of both private sector entities and integrates with the public sector, specifically HRDI, which plays a significant role in the socio-economic and environmental development of the country's highlands. The initiative aims to deliver solar power-generated electricity to communities, installing solar-powered base stations to create digital network systems for these areas.   Through the "Green Energy Green Network for THAIs" project, two remote areas will be piloted: Ban Dok Mai Sod community and Moko Poke community in Mae Usu subdistrict, Tha Song Yang district, Tak province. The collaboration aims to expand the project continuously into other remote areas lacking essential electricity and telecommunications infrastructure. The goal is to reduce inequality, improve the quality of life, and foster sustainable economic growth within these communities.
