When Captain Fanzone was accidentally transwarped to Cybertron, Zaur was one of the Transformers who crowded around him, only to flee for their lives when they realized that he was a disgusting organic. This Is Why I Hate Machines

- Zaur was first revealed in an April Fools image on Derrick J. Wyatt's blog showcasing various characters who might or might not appear in the rest of Season Three.
- He is an homage to the cassette-bot, Zaur. Does this mean there's an Animated Dile somewhere?
- The name "Brontobot" was one of several preliminary names for Generation 1 Dinobot Sludge.
