- Wing is an Autobot from the Victory portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The "warrior of the wind", Wing (ウイング Uingu) is the leader of Multiforce, a role he takes seriously... or at least, with a lot of gusto. With the team's ability to cross-combine in numerous ways, Wing focuses on teamwork, directing the others with (hopefully) tightly knit battle strategies while charging headlong into battle. With the abliity to manipulate the wind itself, Wing can be a terrifying force on the battlefield.
He is most often seen combined with his deputy commander Waver in their Wingwaver form, with Wing forming the upper half of the robot. He also forms the upper torso to the team's super-robot form Landcross, taking more direct control of the team and focusing their multiple powers.

Micromaster
While testing out stealth technology, Wing and the rest of the Multiforce stumbled through a dimensional rift that brought them years into the past. There, Micromasters battled over Mount St. Hillary, where Optimus Prime, Megatron, and their troops slumbered within the Ark. He soon introduced himself to the Autobot Micromasters, but before he could introduce the rest of his team, the Autobots had to head out to meet a Decepticon threat. He combined with Waver to form Wingwaver and helped taking on the Decepticon Sixbuilders. Wing then combined with the rest of the Multiforce into Landcross to send Berserker Sixwing packing. The Multiforce followed the normal flow of time to return to their native period, making sure to not interfere with events they knew had to transpire. To this end, they avoided the other Transformers and explored the Skomiloch Territories and clashed with the Predators. Their journey enabled them to be able to stop the Praetorian from using the corrupted Reconfiguration Matrix to rewrite all robotic life in the Vega Sector into loyal Scrapmetal. Victory comic
The Multiforce was summoned to Earth by Star Saber and battled Dinoking as Landcross. After defeating Dinoking, Landcross separated in order to swarm Deathsaurus with superior numbers. So Cool! Our Ally, Star Saber!
After having lost a battle to Deathsaurus as Landcross, and being subsequently rescued by Star Saber, Wing helped rescue the animals hurt by the forest fire caused by the Decepticon Emperor. Great Reversal! Star Saber
Wing also fought against the Decepticons inside their space base as it was raining down meteors onto the Earth. The war ended peacefully with a truce between both factions. The Grand Victory War

Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

- Sold in a two-pack with his partner Waver in the Victory portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline, Wing transforms into a very chunky fighter jet of unknown, possibly made-up design. A 5 mm post hole behind his cockpit lets his "Multi-Wing Gun" attach to his jet mode.
- He can also transform into either the upper or lower half of a two-robot combiner, with a different head revealed when he forms the upper half of a combination. Of course, his nominal combination is with his pack-in partner Waver, forming the top half of Wingwaver.
- He can also also form the upper torso to the team's combined form Landcross. Theoretically he can form any limb of the combiner as well (as they all share the same general engineering and transformation scheme), but he's the only one in the team that has the proper connections to attach arm-bots or the super robot chestplate in that role.
- In 1995, the three Multiforce two-packs were released in mainland China as part of the severely-delayed Hasbro-distributed Chinese Transformers toyline. They came in slightly-modified versions of their original packaging, with the characters' names now written in Chinese, and the Japanese Transformers logo replaced with a similarly styled Chinese language logo saying "Battles of Victory" (胜利之斗争). They toys themselves are also slightly modified, with their molded-on legal/manufacturing information blotted out and modified to remove Takara's name.

- Wing was also available in a gift set containing the entire Multiforce team. All of the toys in this set are physically identical to their individual releases.
- However, this set does not include the bio/trading cards for any of the component duos, only the combined Landcross mode.
Micromaster

- Released in the final wave of Micromaster as a "DX Micromaster", this reissue of Wing was sold in a single-bot box. The box has a small hole in the front to show a number printed on the instructions, revealing which toy is inside.
- Though this release (mostly) retains his plastic colors (the black joints are now dark gunmetal), his extra deco has changed considerably. In robot mode, the original's waist sticker is completely gone, his pectoral plates are now silver, and his face has changed from yellow to silver with yellow eyes. In jet mode, his canopy is now black, his jet exhausts are also now black, and an Autobot symbol tampograph was added to the left side of his tailfin.

- A special "chase" version of Wing was also available, in mostly black plastic and minimal paint operations.
- All six "DX Micromasters" were available in "Stealth Mode" deco, but only two out of every twelve toys in a case were black versions, and which two the case had was randomized. And no, you can't peek in through the hole in the box to see if it's a chase or not, as the instructions block it off.
Notes
- Wing's character model frequently showed up as a generic character in the Armada cartoon (where it probably got more screentime than it ever did in Victory). More pertinently, Wing's dramatic run-and-transform sequence seen in "First Encounter" was used extensively in Cartoon Network advertising and featured in the original Toonami "intro" for Armada, inexplicably making him a familiar-if-entirely-unrecognized sight on American television for Armada's duration on TV.
