Synopsis
Morocco updates his memoirs with recent events. Now he has control of the Rescue Bot Training Center, he's using the 3D printer to create more Scrubbers which are being put to work repairing the GroundBridge. Pondering why he keeps failing against the Rescue Bots, he realizes they all have minds, and uploads himself into the MorBot he's had rebuilt.
Heatwave, Kade, and Cody head to the Training Center by sea, and Cody manages to persuade the others to let him drive for a while. The rest of the family calls in to see when the GroundBridge is going to be up and working again. The trio arrive at the Training Center and take the lift up, only to find the Scrubbers hard at work and the Morocco Bot ready and waiting. Heatwave starts taking them out, and at Cody's suggestion, activates the base's sonic cannons to take out more of them as the trio escape. Morocco again ponders why he keeps failing, and realizes he doesn't have a plucky kid sidekick to help him with his strategy. He contacts the departing Heatwave to tell them he's decided to recruit Cody as his human partner.
Back at the firehouse, the team discusses protecting Cody, and Professor Baranova, in touch by comms, starts working on a way to override the hive mind patch she invented. Dani and Blades start heading back to America at high speed, thanks to a rocket booster they borrow. Boulder, Blurr, Chase and Graham arrive back at Baranova's lab after a hike and are updated on current events. Baranova has a virus blocker, but since Morocco will be expecting them through the GroundBridge, Blurr is going to have to drive Baranova and the blocker across the US to the Training Center in Maine.
Doc Greene, Frankie and Servo arrive at the firehouse to serve as reinforcements in case Morocco tries to kidnap Cody. Salvage alerts them to the incoming danger - the MorBot and a swarm of Scrubbers are flying in over the sea. While Cody and Frankie head to the command center, the rest of the team heads to the shore. Doc checks in with Blurr and Prof. Baranova who are moving at speed across the country. The Scrubbers reach the shore and meet stiff opposition from the group, armed with foam cannons, Heatwave's sprayers and Servo's teeth. Blades and Dani arrive and shoot the MorBot with an electromagnetic pulse, only to discover it's simply a hologram.
The real Morocco is still on the mainland, attempting to intercept Blurr and Baranova. Blurr's keen to play chicken, but Baranova persuades him that stopping the Scrubbers is more important, and they quickly reach the Training Center. Though it's swarming with Scrubbers, the pair manage to fire up the GroundBridge and bring Chase's team through. The part of the team on Griffin Rock are meanwhile out of ammo, and the Scrubbers simply fly over them, so Chief contacts Cody and Frankie to get them to head to shelter. The group in the Training Center manage to plug the virus blocker into the mainframe, shutting down the system and deactivating the Scrubbers as well, however the MorBot has already escaped through the GroundBridge to Griffin Rock.
Cody and Frankie spot the falling Scrubbers, but their celebrations are cut short when Morocco bursts through the floor and grabs Cody. Emerging from the firehouse, Morocco's confronted by the team returning from the beach, and when Cody attempts to interfere with the MorBot, Morocco uses a cellphone to hypnotize him. Blades hits the MorBot with an EMP, but it promptly transforms and drives off, with the team in pursuit. With Cody's help, Morocco leads them on a chase, however Frankie realizes their plan is to head for the sea and lose the team underwater. She manages to draw level and phase through the side of the MorBot, so she's taken too when it goes underwater. She attempts to reason with Cody, and uses the laser necklace Cody gave her to destroy the cellphone. Frankie and Cody phase out of the MorBot, which plunges into an undersea abyss. The pair are picked up by Heatwave and Kade.
Back at the Training Center, Optimus Prime himself gives a speech and the Rescue Bots their new assignments. Chase is going back to Griffin Rock; Boulder and Graham will build an Autobot/human community in the northwest; Blades and Dani will remain in charge of Quickshadow and High Tide in China; while Heatwave and Kade will be in charge of training new recruits. Chief makes everyone promise to come back every Sunday for Sunday dinner, and takes a photo of the whole team.

Notes
Continuity notes
- Frankie's "Rescue Girl" disguise was previously seen in "The Griffin Rock Express"
- Morocco's line "Clever man, that Doctor Morocco" is a callback to "The Reign of Morocco".
- The hypnotizing cellphones were originally seen in "Spellbound".
- Optimus's in-person appearance in this episode—it's been a while since the last one of those!—suggests it takes place at some point after the end of the first season of Transformers: Robots in Disguise, since prior to that, Optimus was in the Realm of the Primes.
- The photo which closes the episode is a callback to the show's first episode, "Family of Heroes", in which Chief takes a photo while telling the rest of his family that the Rescue Bots are aliens. The chief closes out the series with the same line he spoke in that earlier episode: "I want to get a picture of my heroes," which appears to be re-used audio taken directly from the episode, not newly-recorded dialogue.
Trivia
- This is the final episode of Rescue Bots. For months after it aired, there was no official statement by Hasbro or the show crew about a continuation, but the crew's social media accounts indicated they'd heard nothing. It took a while for it to be revealed that new episodes of Rescue Bots were not coming, and even longer before the sequel series, Rescue Bots Academy, would be announced.
