The Transformers: The IDW Collection Phase Two: Volume 2, published by IDW Publishing in August 2015, is the tenth in a series of hardcovers aiming to reprint the IDW G1 Transformers stories in a "suggested reading order". Its contents were originally published between early 2012 and mid 2013. New cover art (of Bumblebee) is provided by Saren Stone.
Content-wise, Volume 2 touches on the early days of the Great War in The Transformers: Autocracy, starts the second half of the final Spotlights, presents Robots in Disguise issues that would later be connected to Combiner Wars and introduces two important groups in More than Meets the Eye: the Decepticon Justice Division and the Scavengers.
Contents
- The Transformers: Autocracy #1–12
- The Transformers: Spotlight: Trailcutter
- The Transformers: Spotlight: Hoist
- The Transformers: Robots in Disguise #7
- The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #6–8
- The Transformers: Robots in Disguise #8–9
- The Transformers: Spotlight: Orion Pax
Notes
- Frustratingly, Spotlight: Orion Pax is printed after Autocracy despite taking place earlier.
- On the other hand, the placement of the other two Spotlight issues is correct; they take place roughly concurrently between issues #5 and #6 of More than Meets the Eye.
- ...And apparently, so does issue #7 of Robots in Disguise. What gives?
