Any relation to Heywood...never mind.

Steve Jablonsky (born October 9, 1970) is an American composer. Aside from being one of the regular composers on the television series Desperate Housewives, he has worked on several Michael Bay projects, including the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, The Island and, of course, the Transformers live-action film series.

Notes

  • Steve Jablonsky personally thanked Chris Knight and all fans[1] who enjoyed the Transformers score and organized an internet petition to support its release, despite it being planned anyway. Later, Jablonsky sent two personalised autographed copies of the score soundtrack to Knight[2], as well as a third autographed copy to be auctioned off, with proceeds to fund music education.
  • For Revenge of the Fallen, Jablonsky enlisted the help of his mentor Hans Zimmer and rock band Linkin Park while working on the score, with the latter's "New Divide" being interpolated on the cue "N.E.S.T." from the score album. He similarly collaborated with rock band Imagine Dragons while working on Age of Extinction, using their vocals from "Battle Cry" throughout the score as the Yeagers' theme.
  • While not the main composer for Rise of the Beasts, Jablonsky mentored and collaborated with franchise newcomer Jongnic Bontemps, with the tracks "Switchback Chase" and "Humans and Autobots United" crediting him as the main artist, while "Till All Are One" credits him as a co-composer instead. In the movie proper, Jablonsky gets a "music produced by" credit as well.
  • Jablonsky auctioned off a copy of the scoresheet for "Arrival to Earth" that was autographed by Bay, and Jablonsky personalizing it later at the winner's request, the proceeds going to Westside Waldorf School, a non-profit school. [3][4]
