Notes
- Inside the original Optimus Prime toy's trailer, one of the stickers depicts the Romulan Neutral Zone.
- Several well-known actors from Star Trek have played prominent roles in Transformers, including Leonard Nimoy, George Takei, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, LeVar Burton, Jeffrey Combs, Michelle Yeoh and John Noble.
- Also, many IDW Transformers staff have done work on the Star Trek comics, including Chee Yang Ong, Chris Mowry, and Andy Schmidt.

- Ikard's name is a combination of the Japanese word for squid (ika) and "Picard", because Ikard is a starship captain.
- Beast Wars: Uprising takes place largely in the 24th century. As such, it includes a large number of Star Trek nods, including having Ikard speak many of Captain Picard's catchphrases, Star Trek: The Next Generation-inspired uniforms for the Confederated Terran Colonial Fleet, and a glorious string of classic TNG technobabble.
- Tantalus V, a planet from the original Star Trek series, appears in both "Intimidation Game" and The Complete AllSpark Almanac.
