Runabout (BB)

Runabout is a Decepticon from the Bumblebee portion of the live-action film continuity family.

"You know, the rate he goes through rivers, it's a good thing Earth has so many Runabouts."

Runabout is a Decepticon who has been sent to destroy Bumblebee and his allies at P.R.O.G.R.A.M.M.E.

Bumblebee Movie Prequel

Runabout was one of the many Cybertronians who made their way to Earth, arriving alongside his fellow Decepticons Diabla and Wildrider. The trio fell in with Konrad Gotell's E.I.D.O.L.O.N. crime syndicate, and in 1964, they became aware that a different group of Decepticons had been manipulating both E.I.D.O.L.O.N. and the British intelligence agency known as P.R.O.G.R.A.M.M.E., led by the diminutive Malignus. When Bumblebee took out Wildrider shortly afterwards during a confrontation at E.I.D.O.L.O.N. headquarters, Runabout and Diabla trailed Bumblebee to London and attacked P.R.O.G.R.A.M.M.E.'s base. However, he was unable to give chase when the yellow Autobot deployed an oil slick and tripped up the two Decepticons. The Man with the Golden Car

The two Decepticons caught up with Bumblebee and his human allies David Reeve and Diana Lux shortly afterwards, bursting out of a nearby river to ambush the spies during a phone conversation between themselves and B.A.S.E.S.T.A.T.I.O.N.. After taking a few hits from an anti-Transformer gun wielded by Reeve, Runabout joined Diabla in fighting Bumblebee before he escaped by diving into the Thames. The Living Headlights Catching up to Bumblebee and his human allies, Runabout fell victim to Heath Donavan's electrical trap, knocking him into stasis. He recovered in time to arrive at Malignus' headquarters and aim his guns at the Autobot. Energon Is Forever

Unfortunately, Malignus' master plan began going sideways when Diabla suddenly turned on the Decepticons by saving Bumblebee from a Sharkticon. Ordered by Malignus to eliminate all the other Decepticons, Dead End made short work of slaughtering Runabout, whose death convinced Astrotrain to cut his loses and defect from Malignus. Runabout was later avenged when Dead End was killed by a misfired shot from Blitzwing. From Cybertron with Love
