- Rapture is a human from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Rapture, otherwise known as Katrina Vesotsky, is a member of the superhuman Neo-Knights, a team gathered by G.B. Blackrock to replace the defunct RAAT. Aside from being capable of flight thanks to a jet pack provided by Blackrock, Rapture also possesses a "genetic quirk", wherein she can mentally force people into a dream-like trance, leaving them vulnerable while they play out fantasy scenarios in their minds. Her mutant ability works on both humans and Transformers.

Katrina Vesotsky spent some time destitute, too afraid to ask for help. Eventually, she was found by Blackrock and, alongside fellow mutant Lee Gruber, was recruited to oppose the Decepticons on Earth. Blackrock gave her a "superhero getup" and a codename to operate under: Rapture. The two superhumans' first mission was to recruiting another of their kind, Hector Dialonzo, an illegal immigrant who had slain several Decepticons on his own. Upon arrival to Dialonzo's coordinates, Rapture's group happened upon Circuit Breaker already dueling Starscream over the man. Rapture was sent out first to gain control of the situation, and used her superpowers to entrance Starscream in a dream-like state, with Thunderpunch following up by beating down the Decepticon. The brawl came to an end when Dialonzo objected to being fought over like some prize, and insisted all involved instead pitch their recruitment speeches at him so he could decide for himself who to join. Blackrock managed to convince both Dialonzo and Circuit Breaker to join him, and together this new team blasted Starscream into the surf before taking off. The Human Factor!
Dubbed the Neo-Knights, Rapture and her teammates made their public debut during the second Decepticon Civil War, as the Decepticon leaders Scorponok and Shockwave had battled across New Jersey and onto the island of Manhattan. ...All This and Civil War 2 The battle went less than perfect, as their heavy-hitter Thunderpunch was ineffective against the mighty Scorponok. Still, Dynamo managed to topple the latter, allowing Rapture to entrance him, and Circuit Breaker to renew the offensive. Rapture was quickly sidelined as Circuit Breaker's manic hatred of Transformers led to her attacking the present Autobots as well as Decepticons. She eventually burned herself out, and Rapture was about to rejoin the fray when Optimus stepped forth, and convinced all involved to stand down peacefully. The Neo-Knights were about to leave aboard Blackrock's helicopter when Primus, spirit of the Transformers' homeworld Cybertron, abruptly summoned all the Transformers on Earth back home. Their vehicle in contact with Nightbeat at the time, Rapture and her teammates were pulled along for the ride. Out of Time! On this alien world, the Neo-Knights were privy to the Transformers' creator-god, Primus, filling in his children on the incoming threat of his eternal nemesis, Unicron. But despite talk of looming Armageddon, the humans were more concerned over the mental state of one of their own; Circuit Breaker's pathological hatred of robots caused her mind to shut down when she found herself on a planet entirely populated with them. Blackrock demanded that he and his team be teleported back to Earth, but Primus vanished before the request could be communicated to him. The Void!
True to Primus's warning, Unicron soon appeared overhead. The Neo-Knights tried to flee at first, only for Rapture to point out it was futile to do so when their enemy was attacking the planet itself! Echoing his teammate's sentiments, Thunderpunch rallied the rest of the group into joining the fight against Unicron. In the battle with Unicron himself, the Neo-Knights success proved limited. Rapture managed to ensnare the Chaos-Bringer's mind for a brief period of time, but the psychic backlash ultimately brought her down instead. On the Edge of Extinction! After the war, the Neo-Knights were kind of lost in the shuffle of the new Autobot-Decepticon alliance, packed away in a crate for transport like so much baggage. To make things worse, they had a "cell-mate": Hi-Q, former Powermaster partner of the late Optimus Prime, who now actually believed himself to BE Prime. Exodus! Despite his crazed appearance, Hi-Q managed to convince Thunderpunch that they should remain on Cybertron to seek out "The Last Autobot," who according to him was the means to Cybertron's salvation. Rapture stood silent as Blackrock and Thunderpunch argued the matter, with Thunderpunch eventually winning the argument. A Savage Circle The Neo-Knights broke out of their crate before the Autobots blasted off, but soon came to regret their decision. They had no means of actually tracking down the Last Autobot's location, and their surroundings were becoming increasingly perilous as Cybertron continued to deteriorate! Rapture was ready to accept defeat and simply wait for death when a glimmer of hope emerged. In his previous attempt to tap into Cybertron, it seemed that Dynamo had established a rapport with the planet! Following him, the group successfully uncovered their quarry in some ancient ruins. The Last Autobot? They then used the Last Autobot to follow the Transformers to the planet Klo, where the final battle between the Autobots and Decepticons was held. Rapture used her power to neutralize Stranglehold, sending him into a blissful dream-state in which he found himself lounging on a throne being attended by buxom human women. After the battle, the resurrected Optimus Prime promised to bring Rapture and the Neo-Knights back home to Earth. End of the Road!

Before leaving Cybertron, Rapture looked on as the Last Autobot created Modus Prime, part of a new race of Transformer called the Mini-Cons whose task it was to restore Cybertron. The New World
Notes
- Legal indicia in the Marvel comics claim "RAPTURE" is owned by them instead of Hasbro, but only from #74–80.
- In an interview in issue #41 of the Transformers Collectors' Club magazine, it was revealed that Rapture was going to become part of the Furman/Wildman Techno-X series, a reworked Neo-Knights in the early 90s; the Transformers would have been just a simulation to train them against real robots. The series fell through, however.
- Rapture doesn't always wear her jet pack, leading some to mistakenly believe her flight is due to her mental abilities. However it can be glimpsed on a number of occasions (cover of #68 and just before zapping Starscream, on the last panel of #72, the cover of #73 etc.).
