The Navigator is a bipedal reptilian creature. He is, fittingly enough, the Dread Pirate Crew's navigator.

Fiction

Wings Universe

The Navigator was found by Cannonball during one of the Star Seekers' heists. The reptile was hiding in a vault, clutching a paper map. Cannonball added him to the crew, as he was the only one able to read said map, an intrinsic part in Cannonball’s "greatest heist."

At some point, the Navigator managed to corner Tornado in the Tidal Wave’s “cafeteria” and engaged in an elaborate spiel about something Tornado didn’t bother to remember. Despite Tornado becoming distracted mid-conversation, the Navigator didn’t cease his endless prattling.

In the moments leading to Cannonball’s "greatest heist", the Navigator was the only crew member that Cannonball would converse with. Though Tornado was tempted to attempt at gleaning some information out of the Navigator, he decided against it. Tornado figured that the navigator would most likely do nothing more then lecture him about astronomical events and anomalies. Tornado - Decepticon Saboteur

Cannonball's ploy was eventually revealed to travel to the far future, and plunder Cybertron of its Energon when it was most plentiful. The Tidal Wave's engines overloaded during the trip however, leaving them off-course when they re-entered normal space-time. Cannonball tried to read the Navigator's map once more, only to be reminded that the Navigator was the only one who could make sense of it. The Navigator told Cannonball that he presumed they were close enough to their target time for the raid to continue as planned though. He turned out to be wrong; the pirates couldn't obtain any energon from Cybertron, as it had become a techno-organic planet. Hoist the Flag

After Cannonball’s plan to rob Cybertron of its energy failed, the Star Seekers found themselves on the run from the Cybertronian Knights. They nonetheless set out on their next adventure: tracking down the immortal spark of the Decepticon Starscream! While on this quest, the Tidal Wave entered old Quintesson Space, which sat ill with the Navigator. He was terrified of the Mutants who now ruled the territory. As the area was also a blackout zone for all navigating equipment, the Navigator grew increasingly agitated as they ventured deeper into the territory.

Later, Cannonball found on a small barren planetoid an old Quintesson, who informed them he knew of Starscream’s whereabouts. However, the Quintesson turned out to be in actuality Starscream himself possessing the carcass of an old ally. In the events that followed, Captain Cannonball was overthrown, and Flamewar took over as Captain of the ship. Rather than follow the new management, the Navigator chose to stay behind on the barren planetoid with Captain Cannonball’s spark, and the rest of his loyalists. Tornado - Decepticon Saboteur

The Navigator was observed by Shokaract, newly arisen from the power of Unicron, as he contemplated new evils. Legacy
