Bumblebee struggles in his mission to train Twitch and Thrash, because they won't listen to him.

Synopsis

"These cows trusted us." "Trusted us? They followed us because we yelled 'yah'."

Bumblebee speeds through the streets of Witwicky as the clock ticks. Roaring out into the countryside, he uses a trailer being towed by another vehicle in order to vault a moving train, all so he can arrive at the Malto house by 9AM. His triumph at a new speed record is interrupted by items being thrown from the barn, and he heads inside to where Thrash, Twitch, Robby and Mo are tidying up so the Terrans and Bumblebee will have somewhere to rest. As Dot arrives, Alex takes a photo of the family at work.

"Do you know what the secret of life is? This." "Your finger?"

Alex later finds Bumblebee reviewing his to-do list, particularly the last "rejoin the Autobots" item. Alex and Dot offer their help with Bee's main mission of training the Terrans, but Bee believes it will be a simple, routine matter he'll have completed in no time. The Terrans and their kid partners are meanwhile picking apples when their work is interrupted by one of the nearby cows munching down on dropped fruit. Twitch is instantly charmed by the calf and her emotion leaks over to Thrash and the kids. They're all admiring the calf when Bumblebee arrives, intending to begin their training. Thrash confidently goes to demonstrate his ability to transform to Bumblebee, only to discover he can't, and has to cover for it by speaking the sound effect and contorting his body. Bumblebee tells the amused Twitch that it's her turn to try, but she finds herself unable to transform as well. The kids and Terrans are more interested in doing what they're doing than training, so Bee suggests they can train after hours. Robby points out that tonight is Malto Family Game Night. Mo suggests Bee can take part, but his speech about how he's on a serious mission is lost on deaf ears, as the others are back to playing with the calf, now dubbed "Fluffy Ears".

Bumblebee trudges back to the barn, grumbling that the others are ignoring him, and is intercepted by Alex, who is conveniently moving his collection of Bumblebee merchandise. Bee signs the piece of merchandise Alex is holding up, only for Alex to hint that he'd like the rest of his collection signed too. Bee's also less than impressed with the faces on the Bumblebee walkie talkies, and tells Alex to leave the merchandise with him. Heading inside, he tries to contact Optimus Prime, only to instead get Megatron, who has some helpful advice on getting the others to listen to him by using force. Bee returns to the field, only to find everyone's gone, except Twitch who is hiding behind a bale of hay and fruitlessly attempting to transform. After overhearing her opinion of him, Bumblebee heads back to the barn and again attempts to reach Optimus, only to get Elita-1, who suggests he should get to know the Terrans better to be a more effective leader.

"......RUM RAISIN!"

Bumblebee finds the Terrans and kids lying in a field, working on their emotional connection, and presents them with walkie talkies as presents. He gets upset after they laugh at the Bumblebee faces on them, but attempts to persevere, asking about the upcoming family game night. That night, the family convenes in the barn and splits into teams — Bumblebee finds himself with Alex and Dot while the kids pair with their respective Terran partners. They proceed to play a series of games. Bumblebee's advice to Twitch while playing Tic-Tac-Toe actually results in her losing, and his further attempts to give helpful advice to the Terrans leads to an argument breaking out, culminating in Twitch yelling at Bumblebee before transforming and smashing through the roof. Thrash and the kids similarly storm out, leaving Bumblebee with their parents.

As Twitch flies along angry at Bumblebee, she suddenly realized she's transformed. She swoops down to show Fluffy Ears, but when the calf is terrified at her appearance, she attempts to change back, only to find she can't. Meanwhile Bumblebee again attempts to contact Optimus and finally gets through, but it turns out to be Optimus's voice mail. Dot and Alex find him slumped in dejection at the side of the barn and offer some words of encouragement. Elsewhere Robby, Mo and Thrash find Twitch crashed into a fence, and she laments that the cows have all escaped. Thrash contacts Bee over the walkie talkies to ask for help, as the cows are currently stampeding towards the railway tracks.

"I hope I can help."

Soon Bee arrives in the field and has Twitch fly up to survey what's happening. Thrash is still unable to transform, and from discussion, it turns out the Terrans need to feel safe and calm. The group holds hands, and Thrash finally succeeds in transforming. He, Mo and Twitch triumphantly head over and begin herding the cows away from the tracks, but Twitch realizes Fluffy Ears is still missing. While Thrash and Mo continue to guide the cows back to the pasture, Twitch goes in search of the missing calf and rescues it from the tracks at a road crossing. In doing so, Twitch finds she's gotten her own foot stuck on the track, and in her panic, is unable to transform. Bumblebee heads off to respond to her call for help, leaving the others to send her calm feelings. Bee continues to talk to Twitch as he fruitlessly attempts to stop the oncoming train, eventually giving up and joining Twitch on the tracks ahead. With Bee present, she is able to focus enough to succeed in transforming, yanking Bee and Fluffy Ears out of the way moments before the train roars through the crossing. The trio returns to the others, who hug Twitch and thank Bumblebee, who finally feels like he's part of a team again.

The family sits down for take two of family game night, with the barn now repaired. Optimus finally contacts Bee, but Bumblebee's now busy and says he'll call the Prime back.
