Modus Prime has a certain way of doing things.

Modus Prime is the leader of the Mini-Cons, the first of his kind to be created by the Last Autobot in the wake of Unicron's invasion of Cybertron. Now they all know what he looks like naked!

In 1991, the Nebulan Hi-Q and a group of humans roused the mythical Last Autobot from his slumber. Although the Last Autobot realized that his power would be needed elsewhere, he used the data acquired from Optimus Prime's Action Master body to create the Mini-Cons, imbuing each with a fragment of his own spark so they could use his formidable powers to rebuild the devastated planet in anticipation of the day when the Autobots and Decepticons would return home. Modus Prime became the leader of the Mini-Cons; for the next fifteen years, he supervised the planetary cleanup efforts as his Mini-Cons worked to rebuild cities, repair infrastructure, and clear the remaining Mutants and Demons from the planet's underlevels.

While assessing the damage to a deserted Energon refinery, with Broadside, the Heavy Hauler Team, Urban Renewal Team and the Clear Skies Team all acting as his security detail, Modus Prime noticed something moving in the shadows. Just as Hacksaw arrived outside the plant, a series of explosions tore through the facility and fatally wounded Modus Prime. Remedy attempted to stabilize the wounded leader, but was unable to save him.

Although Broadside claimed that the perpetrators had been afflicted by a so-called "madness disease'" that caused them to turn on their leader, evidence soon surfaced that Broadside, a covert Decepticon sympathizer, had deliberately orchestrated the attack to remove Modus from power and further his own agenda of a Mini-Con-ruled Cybertron. Notes

  • Modus Prime's name is derived from "Minimodus", the Canadian French and Spanish term used for the Mini-Cons on Armada packaging.
