An elegant weapon, for a more civilized age.

The Matrix Sword (マトリクスソード Matorikusu Sōdo) is an ancient weapon passed down through the generations of the Blue Order as the badge of office of its leader. In times of legend the α Matrix was placed within its hilt to create a mighty blade of Blue Star Power. Stolen by the traitor Straxus, its recovery is now the prime goal of Magna Convoy.

"Wait, no I-"

Passed down through countless generations of Blue Order leaders, the Matrix Sword eventually made its way to Blue Brightes Convoy, and from him to Blue Big Convoy. Finale Prelude

During a battle with the Specters, Blue Big Convoy rescued Straxus by using the Matrix Sword to cut through the phantasms before using his α Matrix Cannon to vanquish them. Blue Big Convoy comic

"i am fundementally opposed to the Primes and the church as ruling powers. history is a record of their atrocities"

"but i love it when the chosen king reclaims his divine sword and leads his army in glorious battle"

A while later, when Optimus Prime and Ultra Megatron were brought to the Blue Planet in the Precursor World, Blue Big Convoy used the Matrix Sword to support Optimus against his nemesis. Super Megatron comic 2 However, the Blue Order was soon beset by Straxus's betrayal—jealous that he had been passed over for leadership, Straxus implanted a program into the Order's other members and forced them to massacre each other. Big, not willing to harm others, stabbed himself in the chest with the Matrix Sword and apparently fell over dead. Straxus retrieved the sword from the valiant leader's corpse and joined forces with the upgraded Ultra Megatron Omega. God Neptune comic 1

Seeking the Star Power that Megatron Omega's alliance carried, God Neptune attacked, easily disarming Straxus of the Matrix Sword. The Matrix Sword wasn't without surprises, however, and Big's spirit emerged, revealing that he put a portion of his spark into the sword when he committed suicide. Big linked to the Matrix Buster to give God Neptune a good blast. God Neptune comic 2

Surviving the subsequent fall of the Primus Vanguard, the Straxuses called an assembly of their creations, where they gloated over their spoils from its ruins, Matrix Sword included, and announced their intention to use their "children" to exploit the power vacuum left in the Vanguard's wake. Finale

Much later, Magna Convoy, last lone survivor of the Blue Order, mounted a one-man assault on the Straxuses' fortress Darkmount to reclaim the holy blade. His battle with the Straxuses' forces eventually sent him flying down through the ceiling into the lab holding the Matrix Sword, though Straxus warned Magna that the weapon was of no use anymore. Believing the sword unbreakable, Magna seized it and swung at Straxus, only for the blade to shatter! Straxus and a Rollermaster swiftly defeated him, but before they could finish him off, the remains of the Matrix Sword glowed and Magna was teleported away by a glowing starship. Magna Convoy's savior revealed himself to be the spectral form of Blue Big Convoy, his spark having remained in the Matrix Sword. Before he faded away, his power exhausted, he told Magna of a young Transformer cloned from his spark energy by Straxus. His final command to Magna—his "blue order"—was to guide this developing warrior on his journey. Magna Convoy then passed out, but was soon awoken by the very warrior his commander spoke of—Convobat. Cybertron Magna Convoy prequel comic

Magna Convoy told Convobat of the Primus Vanguard, the Matrix Sword, and Straxus's betrayal. Seeing as Convobat was a clone of their final leader, Magna Convoy passed the remains of the sword to him, though the diminutive bot was reluctant to accept such a treasured object. When Straxus and the Rollermasters attacked, Convobat returned the word to Magna Convoy. Accepting that he was the true heir of the sword, Magna Convoy was able to reforge the Matrix Sword with the power of his hope and desire to protect Convobat. With the Matrix Sword, Magna Convoy was able to unleash a powerful blast that incapacitated Straxus. Cybertron Magna Convoy
