Trying to get rid of the Cybertronian scout ship following them, Optimus Prime ordered the Darkstar to be flown into the K'tord Nebula. Since the area was known as one no one who entered it returned from, hope was that the Cybertronians would be discouraged to pursue. They weren't.

Along with the Autobots, the Cybertronians fell prey to the manipulation of the psychic energy beings inhabiting a planet in the nebula. However, Optimus's and Jhiaxus's willpowers proved stronger than the creatures' influence, and the two prevented their armies from slaughtering each other. This situation resulted in a short truce that allowed the Autobots to leave freely while the Cybertronians destroyed the parasites. Hereafter, Jhiaxus had their planet eco-structured. Primal Fear!
