- J. Balvintron / Energia Buzzsaw & Vibras Stripes (2021)
- Accessories: 2 Fire Blast effects, 2-part rifle, battery cover
- The rather bizarre eighth release in the Collaborative line, J. Balvintron is a redeco of the original Generation 1 Soundwave toy, of all things.
- A seven-inch-tall figure, J. Balvintron transforms into a realistically-sized yellow microcassette recorder, complete with an opening cassette door that can accommodate one of any of the numerous Mini-Cassette figures. He is decked out in garish colors, numerous smiley faces, and lightning bolts, all in homage to the style of Colombian reggaeton singer J. Balvin. For the first time in the long history of this mold, the traditional hand- and shoulder-mounted battery weapons are not included; instead, the set features a redeco of the large double rifle originally included with War for Cybertron: Siege Jetfire. J. Balvintron also comes with two delicious rainbow-colored Fire Blast effects, likewise of the design originally for Siege Jetfire.
- J. Balvintron comes packaged with Energia Buzzsaw and Vibras Stripes (based on the Spanish words for "energy" and "vibes", which are also the names of J. Balvin albums).[1] This set is exclusive to the NTWRK app, with pre-orders beginning on July 13, 2021, and the toys finally shipping (after a mild delay) in mid-November.

Notes
- The release of a brightly-colored redeco of The Transformers Soundwave bundled with several Mini-Cassette figures follows a similar pattern set by Linkin Park Soundwave, released eight years prior to J. Balvintron.
- In case you were wondering, the first letter of José Álvaro Osorio Balvín's stage name is pronounced "jay", not "jota" as per the Spanish letter name.
References
- ↑ "Energía" is properly spelled in Spanish with an acute accent. Presumably this did not happen due to typographical limitations.
