Hades
From Transformers Wiki
- Hades is a Decepticon Mini-Con from the Prime portion of the Aligned continuity family.
Hades (ハデス Hadesu), also known as the Lord of Hell, "Hades Batstein Kammerbach DCLXVI" (ハデスバットシュタインカマーバッハ666世 Hadesu Battoshutain Kamābahha 666-sei)—at least, according to himself—is one of Megatron's Arms Micron partners. He's huge for a Mini-Con, but the size of his body is nothing compared to the size of his ego.

Arms Micron Theater
- Voice actor: Keiji Fujiwara (Japanese)
Taking over Arms Micron Theater and calling it Hades Theater, Hades introduced himself to the viewers by his full title, and proudly showed off his different modes, claiming that his scythe mode could cut light itself while his prized wings let him exceed the speed of light in bat mode. Due to "various reasons" he could only show his combined mode with Megatron in the form of a drawing, but he was still bristling with pride over how cool his presentation had been. Surgical Transformation!? Imprison the Soldier of Destruction
Hades Theater made its triumphant return when Hades wanted to display a combination he'd made with Zamu, Gura, Jigu, and a whole six Nojis, and he also invited Ida to join them. She refused on the grounds that Hades was a Super Combo Weapon on his own, meaning he was always at peak strength and other Arms Microns who combined with him wouldn't actually get powered up. Realizing she was right, the other Microns disconnected and went home, leaving a surprised but undaunted Hades to claim that being alone suited him better anyway. Clashing Transformation! The Dark Commander Appears
Hades was later hovering outside a window of the Arms Micron-style Weapon Link Dojo until he was blown away by a stray gust of wind. Recovery Transformation! Battle in the Metropolis Underground He came third in a poll to see who was the most popular Arms Micron, surprising him so much he fell off his chair. Sky Dance Transformation! The Suicidal Skydive On the final installment of Arms Micron Theater, all the Microns got together in their studio to say their goodbyes to the audience. Hades, however, couldn't make it inside because his wingspan got him caught in the doorway, causing the automatic door to close on his head. Ultimate Transformation! Fight! Transformers
Toys
Prime
- Megatron Darkness (Voyager, 2012)
- ID number: AM-15
- Micron ID number: M-16
- Release date: July 28, 2012
- Energon Crystals: AP, HP & SP Rock/Titan
- Part of the fifth wave of TakaraTomy Prime toys, Hades transforms from a translucent-purple, bat-like robot into the "Meteor Scythe" weapon, as well as a winged backpack with blasters on the wings. Yes, wings for Megatron, which means he's friggin' huge. He has multiple 5 mm posts and holes on his body, allowing him to combine with other Arms Microns to form bigger and more ridiculous Combo Weapons and Super Combo Weapons. On that note, he's the only Arms Micron to have multiple Energon Crystals: with one of each type all in the same color, he is actually a single-Micron Super Combo Weapon!
- The handle of the scythe is connected to the rest of the body via a small, translucent clip, and is unable to fully support the rest of the weapon. This means the scythe tends to slowly droop down when left held unsupported at an angle, loosening the clip and giving it some nasty stress marks in the process, worsened by being more brittle transparent plastic.
- He was only available packed in with the Voyager Megatron Darkness toy, coming out of the package as a bunch of unpainted parts on runners, like a model kit. His extra deco is provided by customer-applied foil stickers on a sheet he shares with Megatron and his other pack-in Micron, Gora II.
- Kin no Hades (Micron, 2012)
- Energon Crystals: AP, HP & SP Rock/Titan
- "Kin no Hades" (金のハデス, "Golden Hades"), a gold-chromed version of the toy, was given away as third place in the Arms Up Campaign, limited to 100 pieces. Winners got shipped their prizes at some point in November.
- It is unknown if he was delivered as the usual unassembled kit. If he was, hooo boy, some kids might've broken their rare prize trying to assemble it, given the issues vac-metal plating adds to the process.
Notes
- "Hades" is pronounced "hah-dess", not "hey-dees" as English speakers would pronounce the name. The former pronunciation is closer to the original ancient Greek and is the standard way of transliterating the name in Japanese.
- Megatron Darkness's box-back identifies Hades's Energon Crystals as "Rock" type. However, the "Arms Up Missions" game calls them "Titan".
