Erwin Grünspan

Erwin Grünspan (March 25, 1973 - December 29, 2021) was a Belgian actor and voice director.
He graduated from INSAS in 1999, he has since played in theater where he performs texts by authors such as Molière, Edward Bond, Shakespeare, and Chekhov. He has also played in several short films and TV films.
He was the French voice of Andrés de Fonollosa aka « Berlin » in La Casa de Papel, but was also very active in dubbing Japanese animation and has worked on well-known titles. He is one of the voices of Nick Fury (in Ultimate Spider-Man and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes), but also worked on series such as Star Wars Rebels, in which he voiced the Fifth Brother.
On December 30th 2021, fellow actor Brieuc Lemaire announced the sudden death of Erwin Grünspan, at the age of 48, due to a heart attack.[1]

Notes
- Erwin Grünspan has dubbed Optimus Prime/Primal in more episodes than any other French-speaking actor.
- Following his departure from the French dub of Transformers: Cyberverse after season 1, the role of Optimus Prime was taken over by Benoît Grimmiaux for subsequent seasons, breaking a 13-year streak of Optimus Prime/Primal being voiced by Grünspan in every animated series.
- The role of Megatron is reprised by Robert Dubois, who dubbed the character in Transformers: Prime.
