When a cute dog follows the Recruits back from a mission, the Recruits decide to keep him as a pet, despite Academy rules to the contrary.

Synopsis
The recruits return through the GroundBridge covered in snow, and Heatwave, congratulating them on another successful mission, tells them to take a break. As they're celebrating, they suddenly realize they've been followed back to base by a dog. Though Medix reminds the others that the regulations forbid pets, the recruits resolve to look after the pooch for a while.
Though the dog seems keen on returning through the GroundBridge, they take him to Hero Hall where Hot Shot plays fetch with him. Hot Shot's attempt to name the dog "Speedy" doesn't go down well with the others. Hoist alerts the others to Blades approaching, and they successfully conceal the dog from their teacher. They next take the dog to the courtyard outside where Wedge attempts to dub him "Scoop" as he digs holes. They again have to conceal the pup's presence, this time from Boulder. Back inside, Whirl races against the dog. Her suggestion that they call him "Bouncy" is unpopular, but not as unpopular as when Hoist suggests "Schnoodles", and Medix decides they should just call him "dog". When Heatwave arrives, they again have to avoid revealing the animal.
They soon realize that the dog is upset about something, and when the rescue alarm goes off, he charges through the GroundBridge portal. Disturbed by the dog, Heatwave fills the recruits in—there's a worker trapped in one of the slides at the Griffin Rock Water Park. They head to the park, but puzzle over how to get the worker out, until the dog appears and manages to get Hoist to drop his winch cable down the slide, allowing them to winch him out.
Back at base, Heatwave has them check the dog's collar, and Whirl finds a phone number. They call up Mrs. Murphy, who reveals the dog's name is Heatwave, and that her husband Frank is missing — Heatwave should have been with him. Realizing that their earlier blizzard rescue wasn't quite as complete as they thought, they return to the area with doggie Heatwave, who leads them to Frank, allowing them to dig him out. Whirl takes Frank and Heatwave to get checked out by a doctor.
The recruits return home, where Heatwave presents them with a new pet—a fish which the recruits decide to call Schnoodles.
