The primary military force of the Decepticon Empire, the Decepticon fleet (alternatively known as the Decepticon armada, Decepticon space fleet, or Decepticon war fleet) is a mighty fleet of warships dedicated to bringing the lesser alien species of the galaxy to heel.

Believing his fleet could overcome the Chaos Bringer, Starscream ordered them to contain and destroy Unicron at G Nebula 89 only for Bludgeon to betray the Decepticons to the monster. In 2031, following the devastating Scouring of Nebulos, the Human Confederacy quarantined the Transformers within the Allowed Zone. Unwilling to accept this, Galvatron brutally conquered every planet in the Zone and used their resources to rebuild his fleet. When the Mini-Con subspecies decided to leave Cybertron, both Autobots and Decepticons aided in the construction of an escape vessel. When the Exodus launched however, the Decepticon fleet moved to claim the craft. Anticipating this, the Autobot fleet was quick to counterattack, holding off the Doomsday long enough for the Mini-Cons to escape, though not before the Decepticon ships had damaged their transwarp drive. During their torture of B-127, Shatter and Dropkick learnt that Optimus Prime was coming to Earth. Seeing a chance to wipe away the Autobots forever, the two attempted to make contact with Cybertron and summon the Decepticon fleet only for the scout, his human friend Charlie Watson, and Sector Seven agent Burns to prevent the transmission. The Decepticon fleet had several early victories in the Great War, capturing many colony planets. In response to their foes' brutal might, the Autobots launched Project Omega, resulting in the creation of twelve Omega Sentinels whose power quickly countered the Decepticon fleet's. Gamma Supreme in particular was noted for his success against the fleet, surviving three direct encounters with them.

When Autobot intelligence agent Highbrow cracked the Decepticon frequencies, the Autobots spread false information that the missing AllSpark was on Floron III.
