Fiction
2005 IDW continuity
At the age of 21, Claire dated Dashiell "Flint" Faireborn, and, shortly afterwards, was expelled from Washburn University. She moved to New Jersey to live with her sister and eventually broke up with Dashiell, not telling him that she was pregnant with his child.
Claire eventually married Howard Bishop and fell into alcoholism; as a result, her daughter Marissa—who had been brought up under the pretense that Howard was her real father—was forced to take on extra responsibility from an early age. After Claire divorced her husband, Marissa learned about her biological father and changed her surname to spite her mother. Hasbro Heroes Sourcebook #2
Notes
- Claire was first alluded to in 2013's The Cobra Files #6; in that issue, Flint casually mentioned in that issue that he had heard Claire had had a child with her later husband. The Hasbro Heroes Sourcebook adds on to that comment by stating that Claire had been pregnant when they broke up, and the child was actually his. Shared continuity is fun!
