Many Decepticons fight because of boredom, for a higher cause, or because they just like to kill. Bisk does not qualify for any of those, preferring to fight for the highest score. He speaks in video game lingo, thinks of main objectives as "quests", and even gets irritated when even one thing makes him deviate from the main quest...like side quests or even the n00b Autobots.

Despite his dislike of working with other "players," particularly ineffectual, low-XP scrubs like Hammer and Anvil, Bisk is no slouch when it comes to PvP. His impressive strength and overwhelming tactics allow him to take on multiple opponents at once, and he can even fire a laser from his mouth to knock his opponents unconscious. He's just as likely to frag you in a fistfight as he is in a video game.

Sometimes, he can play co-op mode with Saberhorn and form the tag-team avatar Saberclaw.

Whoever you are, you're playing against opponents with much higher combat attributes than yourself!Bisk, "Bumblebee's Night Off"

Eighty thousand dollars for this car and you ain't got no damn cup holder?

Bisk was held in stasis aboard the Alchemor, breaking free after it crashed on Earth. Bumblebee's team found him on a golf course, and after a brief battle, managed to overwhelm him with teamwork (and by having Grimlock land on him). The golf course did not survive intact. More than Meets the Eye

After Steeljaw broke into the scrapyard, he deactivated Bisk's stasis pod, alongside several others, as part of a bid to bolster Glowstrike's forces. When Thunderhoof brought up Steeljaw's past failures at leadership, Steeljaw informed the Decepticons of his alliance with Glowstrike, and gave them coordinates to follow while he remained at the scrapyard. The escapees later reconvened at Steeljaw's coordinates, where they was inspected by Glowstrike, who seemed pleased by the new cadre of "elite warriors". Misdirection

Why waste good technology on science and medicine?

Bisk partnered up with the Mini-Cons Hammer and Anvil. The trio set about breaking into the backstage of a Rear Axle concert so that they could steal some soundboards, a component vital for constructing a spaceship. Although the heist started off well, things took an unexpected turn when Russell Clay stumbled across the Decepticons and alerted Bumblebee to the intrusion. Bisk then crashed the concert proper to steal another soundboard, although the director mistook him for a human in an elaborate costume. Before he could storm the audience, he was attacked by Bumblebee, and they both tumbled onto the stage right in the middle of one of Rear Axle's songs. The two fought as the band rocked out; the humans at the concert thought that the fight was just a choreographed part of the show. With his Mini-Cons out of commission, Bisk tried to take on Bumblebee solo. While seemingly overpowering Bumblebee and being about to blast him off, the Autobot managed to gain the upper hand, throwing Bisk into a wall of speakers. Bisk and his Mini-Cons were stashed in a nearby crate and taken back to the scrapyard for questioning. Bumblebee's Night Off

Bisk's stasis pod was later taken back to Cybertron by Optimus Prime, Windblade and Ratchet. Decepticon Island (Part 2)

Toys

Robots in Disguise (2015)

Virtually every toy in this list has a scannable insignia sticker on it. For Hasbro releases, it temporarily unlocks that toy as a playable character in the Robots in Disguise mobile game, and can only be scanned once per day. TakaraTomy releases simply check that off on their mobile app's collection list. It's honestly quicker and less redundant to say which toys don't have this feature.

And the winner of the big race is... Hot Rod Zoidberg!
  • Bisk (One-Step Changer, 2016)
As part of the eighth wave of the Robots in Disguise One-Step Changer assortment, and the second wave of the Mini-Con Weaponizers subline, Bisk transforms from a robot to a sleek sports car in... well, not actually a single step. You do have to bend his elbows and rotate his lower claws to finish the transformation either way, but the bulk of the transformation is one step.
Despite being labeled as "Mini-Con Weaponizer" compatible (and showing him holding Lord Doomitron in weapon mode), he does not actually have any 5 mm post-holes anywhere on him, so the packaging is a liar. On the other hand, He can ride on Stomp & Chomp Grimlock, although this does not activate any of the larger figure's gimmicks.
Bisk's scannable Decepticon insignia is centered on his vehicle front, accessible while still in-package.

I'm the Video Game Boy! I'M THE ONE WHO WINS!
  • Bisk (3-Step Changer, 2016)
Part of the ninth wave of the Three-Step Changer assortment, Bisk is a Voyager-sized figure which transforms from a robot into a sleek sports car in just 3-steps. His scannable Decepticon insignia is centered on his robot front, accessible while still in-package.
For some reason, he wears a plastic tray on his head while in-package, mostly to prevent his head's paint applications for getting damaged. IF you're unlucky enough, you'll probably find one without the tray.
In Asia, Bisk is a notorious shelfwarmer.

  • Bisk (Warrior Class, 2016)
  • TakaraTomy ID number: TAV60
  • TakaraTomy release date: October 29, 2016
  • Accessories: 2 blasters
Part of the eighth wave of the Warrior Class assortment, and the second wave of the Mini-Con Weaponizers subline, Bisk transforms from a googly-eyed lobster-bot into a futuristic sports car. He comes with a pair of non-firing blasters, which can slot into the top of his claws via 5 mm posts. Because of his unique appearance, two-thirds of his head is molded in a softer plastic to safely transform the figure without damaging any of his many spindly facial features.
Bisk's scannable Decepticon insignia is centered on his robot front, accessible while still in-package. The Adventure release of Bisk features some paint applications for show-accuracy, and he features a different scan-badge.
Bisk was only ever available in one wave of Warrior Class figures. For unknown reasons, this wave apparently only saw release in the United States and Canada.
He was later retooled into Thermidor, and he was meant to be redecoed/retooled as Beast Wars Scorponok if Fun Publications didn't lose the TFSS club license.
He is basically the greatest thing ever.

  • Bisk (Legion Class, 2016)
This smaller version of Bisk transforms into the same futuristic sports car. Bisk features 3 mm compatible holes on his side knees and front claws, And because of this, he only can wield his weapons horizontally.
Bisk's scannable Decepticon insignia is centered on his chestplate, accessible while still in-package. Bisk was later re-released in a Combiner Force packaging in 2017. His badge is also altered: Scanning it only unlocks 5 Ultra Sparks and a Ticket for Cryostase to unlock a random character.
This figure has been released twice: First in mid-2016 under the Robots in Disguise line's Mini-Con Weaponizers subline imprint, as part as part of the ninth wave of the Legion Class assortment that was only ever available at retail in the United States, and then again in early 2017 in the Conbiner Force subline imprint packaging refresh, in a wave that saw considerably more widespread release around the world, to the point where it ended up as a shelfwarmer at Toys"R"Us stores in Asian Hasbro markets.

  • Saberhorn & Bisk (Crash Combiners, 2018)
Part of the fourth and final wave of the Combiner Force Crash Combiners subline, Bisk is a roughly Scout-class sized figure that changes from his futuristic car with a combiner chest that doubles as his spoiler into a robot in 5 simple steps. His individual robot mode only has limited articulation on his elbows. He also has a little green arrow above the connector on his vehicle back indicating where to crash him to combine with other figures. A 5 mm post hole on top of his vehicle mode can accommodate a compatible accessory or Weaponizer Minicon, though he cannot use it in his individual robot mode.
Bisk comes packaged with Saberhorn and is intended to combine with him to form Saberclaw's upper torso. Connecting them to each other (more like bumping each other's asses) will activate Bisk's automatic transformation, but Saberhorn must be converted manually. He can also combine with any other Crash Combiner figure to form a random Combiner. Bisk's smaller arms also function as lower pincers for Saberclaw's arms.
This two-pack was a very late addition to the Robots in Disguise line, with a Hasbro product code number in the same region as the wave 1 Prime Masters from Power of the Primes.

Kre-O

It wasn't a 'bot... it was a 'bot lobster!
  • Bumblebee Disc Demolisher (2015)
The Kreon version of Bisk was only available in the "Bumblebee Disc Demolisher" set. Rather than normal Kreon hands, he has a pair of asymmetrical claws. And a helmet for some reason.
All of the 2015 Transformers Kre-O product was skipped by retailers in the U.S. (at first), seeing release in Canada, Australia, and various Asian markets. In fall 2015, almost all of it was finally released in the U.S. through TJ Maxx discount stores, including this set. The "Bumblebee Disc Demolisher" was the first set to hit, and easily the most plentiful of them.

Merchandise

Tiny Titans

  • Bisk (Tiny Titans, 2015)
    • Series: 1
    • Number: 11/12
Part of the initial assortment of Tiny Titans blindpacks, this version of Bisk is a very small, soft-plastic figure of him in robot mode. The toy depicts him in his second-season Earth body as opposed to his original Cybertronian form, and also possesses a scratched-out Decepticon insignia that marks him as a member of Steeljaw's pack... both concepts that were revealed by this toy first, long before the toys or show implemented them.
He includes a collectible card that includes a scan-badge for the Robots in Disguise mobile game, which unlocks a random amount of Energon "currency" and a randomized bonus power-up item.

Notes

  • Bisk's name is a delicious nod to lobster bisque.
  • Bisk shares a body-type with the just-as-deliciously named Thermidor.
  • Bisk is stated to be a Lobstercon by show writer Adam Beechen.[1] Beechen also notes that Bisk was banned from gaming competitions after being caught cheating during one of them. He went on a rampage, attacking many gaming competitions and injuring scores of innocents.[2]
  • In the Japanese dub, Bisk's first person pronoun is orechi (おれち) and frequently uses crab-related words such as zuwai (楚, snow crab), taraba (鱈場, red king crab), and miso (味噌), and also speaks in a -gani (蟹, crab) tone. When he spits a beam from his mouth, he shouts "e-beam".

Foreign names
