The Ark-7 was the ship chosen by Optimus Prime to go to Earth to search for Alpha Trion. Detonation Boulevard
On the outskirts of the solar system Prowl and Cosmos stood on the outside of the hull where they discussed Earth's history with Cybertron and how Prowl was always right. I Dream of Wires Upon arriving in orbit, the ship was greeted by a volley of wall-burrowing missiles that the ship's deflectors couldn't defend against and a detection system that ghost shields were useless against. To continue the mission, Optimus Prime ordered Jetfire to set the ship in orbit of the far side of the moon (much to Jetfire's chagrin) and boarded Sky Lynx alongside Prowl, Sideswipe, Kup, Arcee, and Jaws Jazz with the intention of reaching the planet's surface through other means. Hello Cruel World While Prime's team was dealing with the EDC-Decepticon alliance on Earth, the Ark-7 was recovering from the missiles (which had turned into Microbots) on the far side of Earth's moon. Jetfire resolved to eradicate the Microbot infestation by spraying them with an aerosol form of the ship's liquid memory core, but found the rest of the infestation eliminated by Prowl's "team", the Constructicons. Detonation Boulevard
Prime's team returned to the Ark-7 in Sky Lynx after the EDC detonated the "Mind Bomb" to take down the Decepticons. While on the ship Prime and Prowl argued on the merits of the Constructicons merging to form Devastator until Jetfire interrupted to confirm that he had found out the location of Alpha Trion. This conversation was sent to the Decepticons by their double agent: Scavenger. The Mind Bomb
Prime and Alpha Trion disembarked from the Ark-7 in the Skyroller and went round to the far side of the moon, setting of alarms. The Crucible Following the revelations made there, Optimus left for Cybertron, once again in the Skyroller. It was their to pick up Sky Lynx and his team Signals, Calls, and Marches and Prowl and the Constructicons left soon after in him to pursue other objectives. Vs. It was also the location of an argument between Kup and Sideswipe ONoffON which led to them taking Sky Lynx down to stop Prowl. The Obiterati
During the "Combiner Wars", the crew of the Ark-7 watched the news broadcasts of first contact with Caminus. Prowl had also brought the Mesa Verde Space Bridge, seized from Blackrock, aboard the ship. The Possible Light After that had wrapped up and Prowl wound in jail, Arcee took command of the ship and ordered Jetfire to investigate an Onyx tablet given to her by Galvatron unknowingly playing into the warmonger's hands. Now and On Earth After a particularly tiring mission, Cosmos returned to the Ark 7, collapsed on his recharge slab and snuggled up with D.0.C. South of Heaven
The ship began detecting Prowl on Earth intermittently which prompted Arcee and Kup to investigate. Realizing Prowl's appearances were somehow connected to the Wreckers and Verity Carlo the duo contacted the Debris before leaving the ship under Jetfire's watch. Sins of the Wreckers #1
When they returned, Jetfire had organized a mission to investigate the Onyx source code leaving Arcee and Sideswipe to watch the ship. When the source of the code was revealed to be a trap by Garrisson Blackrock, Sky Lynx was ordered to lead the Seeker Clones back to the Ark-7 where they would turn the warship's firepower on them. Unfortunately Blackrock managed to use the Onyx code aboard the Ark to take control of its systems, activating its shields at maximum power the instant the weapons were fired crippling the craft and isolating it. The Nothing Man
He also managed to turn the internal defences against the Autobots which Alpha Trion recognized as the work of the Enigma of Combination as they fought their way to the Space Bridge. Galvatron meanwhile ordered his followers on Cybertron to use Metroplex's Space Bridge to access the Ark-7 and bring its powerful arsenal to him. Aphelion Using the Onyx code, Blackrock accessed the ship's blueprints, geeked out at the destructive firepower of the Ark-7 before noting "Ark" in Cybertronian translated more accurately to the English word "Vanguard". When Arcee, Sideswipe and Alpha Trion managed to reach the Space Bridge, the Decepticons stormed through the portal and onto the ship. Lagrange Marissa Faireborn managed to seize Blackrock's tablet and restore control of the ship to the Autobots. The Autobots however had been defeated by this point and the ship seized by Galvatron's followers who piloted it to Shanghai where they intended to begin conquering the Earth before Optimus Prime arrived via Space Bridge. Perihelion All out war broke out between Autobots, Decepticons and the Chinese military around the Ark-7. Realizing they could not launch the Ark-7 in the middle of a battle, Optimus ordered the Autobots to secure their comrades and the Mesa Verde Space Bridge from it aboard the Skyroller, before setting the ship to self destruct with a thirty-second time delay as he warned the attacking humans to clear the area. They didn't and their mechs were blown back by the force of the explosion. Once Upon a Time on Earth
