It's like a movie / It's a B-movie show

The appliancebots are, as the name suggests, a group of common household appliances that came to life when Sam Witwicky discovered an AllSpark fragment in the shirt he wore at the battle of Mission City. Like all human technology mutated into Transformers, the Appliancebots are inherently dangerous and aggressive, apparently because most modern human technology was reverse-engineered from a stasis-locked Megatron.

98... 99... 100! Ready or not, come out Sam!

While packing for college, Sam was talking with his girlfriend Mikaela, preparing a long distance relationship kit packed with certain items from when they got together. As he offered up the infamous D-Day shirt he wore at Mission City, he discovered a fragment of the AllSpark had been stuck in the shirt. When he touched the fragment, it activated and he dropped it. It burnt a hole through his bedroom floor and into the Witwicky kitchen, where it sent out a pulse of Energon radiation which brought the household appliances to life.

After coming to life, the appliancebots proceeded to cause havoc and mayhem, chasing down Sam and trying to shoot him. Sam escaped through his bedroom window, but the appliancebots continued their assault, even expanding it to include Ron Witwicky and the dog house for Mojo and Frankie. As Ron and Sam sought cover behind the backyard fountain, Sam called to Bumblebee, who was hiding in the garage. Bumblebee opened fire on the appliancebots, killing them, but also destroying much of the house. Revenge of the Fallen

The Appliancebots' involvement in these events, or events mostly similar, were also chronicled in the storybook "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Electronic Voice Changer."

IDW "Transformers" movie comics

The remains of the appliancebots were stored in a warehouse at Guantanamo Bay. But then Ravage came and stole them. Then again, Ravage wasn't exactly himself at the time. Tales of the Fallen #5 Their remains ended up in a crater in the rubble of Kingdom Petrochemicals, where they were found by Initiative troops. The Initiative drained the residual AllSpark energy from them for use in their attempt to create a new AllSpark. Nefarious #1

Reprolabels' "toast in slot" stickers are just a matter of time.
  • Ejector (Scout Class, 2009)
Ejector is pretty damn awesome.

Notes

  • The term "appliancebot" comes from the film novelization. The various creative types interviewed on the RotF DVD/Blu-Ray special features refer to them as "Kitchenbots", while a RotF coloring book also refers to them informally as the "Kitchen Crew".
  • Apparently the robot the animators nicknamed "Dickbot the blender guy" was the leader of the Appliancebots at one stage of development, suggesting a more substantial role for them.
  • The appliancebots in this film are more comical and less feral, homicidal maniacs than the Allspark Mutations in the first film.
  • When the shard hits the kitchen, the fridge is seen opening, but no robot is seen coming out of it. Maybe its courage level is low.
  • When Sam is picking up the shard in the kitchen, you can see the CISCO Aironet hanging where it was pre-mutation. Either it survived, or somebody goofed up.
  • In the Scholastic book adaptation of ROTF, the AllSpark shard somehow brings even the knives and forks in the Witwicky kitchen alive.
