Synopsis
Wedge is watching Heroes of Cybertron when it features Heatwave. Hot Shot makes fun of Heatwave's angry face, only for the real thing to appear and announce he and Cody have to join the other Rescue Bots off-planet. The recruits are overjoyed that they'll get to be on their own, without teacher supervision. Once Heatwave and Cody leave, the recruits go to take part in some leisure activities, but Medix reveals that the list of tasks Heatwave's left them is extremely long. They accomplish the first task — zipline training — but when Hot Shot grouses that there must be a faster way, it spurs Hoist to work.
The other recruits meanwhile have ticked off another three tasks. Hoist reveals the Scrub-A-Dubber, a cleaning robot that immediately sets to work. Leaving it to do its thing, the recruits start on their bandaging lesson, though Medix thinks Tough Luck Chuck would be a more appropriate subject than Hot Shot. Wedge inserts another power pod into the Scrub-A-Dubber so it'll go faster. After he mentions to Hot Shot that the robot can go faster, Hot Shot has the same idea, and also inserts a power pod into it. Medix also adds one, and some time later Whirl finds the robot bashing itself against a bench. Believing it just needs more juice, she adds another three power pods.
The recruits pause in their exercise outside the academy, and Hoist thinks perhaps he should go change the Scrub-A-Dubber's power cell, but the others assure him it's not necessary, oblivious to the havoc the robot is now causing inside. The recruits finally come to the last item on the list — a volcano simulation — and find Hero Hall is full of soap suds. It swiftly becomes obvious the Scrub-A-Dubber is to blame, and the other recruits own up to having added more power cells to it. The recruits start chasing the rogue robot, only to be foiled by its constant spray of soapy liquid. They eventually hit on the idea of confusing it by showing it a lot of garbage, and Hoist deactivates it. Unfortunately the place is now even more of a mess, and the recruits are forced to clean it themselves, before Heatwave and Cody return. Heatwave is impressed by the results, until he opens his office door and discovers the Scrub-A-Dubber.
