See, this is why server preservation is important.
This game/console's online features are no longer supported.
While this game/console's online features were once accessible, they are (as of October 8, 2023) no longer officially supported and online-exclusive features may be documented as now-unseen content.

Pac-Man 99 sees Arika milking the Battle Royale format once again for the Switch, this time utilizing some elements from the Pac-Man Championship Edition series and throwing in paid DLC.

This was basically a replacement for Super Mario Bros. 35, which had been shut down a week earlier. To add insult to injury, not only did Pac-Man 99 last five times longer but its eventual shutdown was only for the online aspects - the offline modes, obtained via paid DLC (all of which were also removed from the eShop), remain accessible if they had been bought.

Development Leftovers

Windows Build Assets

Every single *_rom.*.dat and *_rom_file.*.dat in the Dat folder has similar files ending with .x64, providing identical assets but cooked for Windows.

Empty Theme File

Also present in the Dat folder is dbg_theme. While the name suggests it was used for debugging purposes, it's completely empty.

Internal Project Name

Hmmm...
To do:
Meaning?

The build path of the game suggests the game was internally called yosso.
