Listen Now: See recommended music on Apple TV
The Listen Now screen in the Apple Music app helps you play your favourites and discover personalised recommendations of albums, playlists and custom mixes all in one place.
The Top Picks row highlights new music, interviews and recently updated playlists, all personalised just for you. The Made For You row features your personalised mixes, and the Stations For You row includes a personal radio station tuned to your taste.
Note: Not all features are available in the Apple Music Voice Plan. For more information, see the Apple Support article How to use Apple Music Voice.
See recommended music
Open Music on Apple TV, then navigate to Listen Now.
Navigate down to see personalised rows of albums, playlists and interviews; navigate left or right in a row to browse items.
If you’ve subscribed to the Apple Music Voice Plan, recommendations with Siri instructions appear in the Just Ask Siri row. You can navigate to an item or press the Siri button on the Siri Remote and say the name of a playlist or item you want to play.
Navigate to an item, then press the clickpad centre (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or the touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation) to view it.
Select a song to play it.
If you find a recommendation you don’t like, press and hold the clickpad centre or the touch surface, then select Suggest Less Like This.
Add an album or playlist to your library
Open Music on Apple TV, then navigate to Listen Now.
Select an album or playlist.
Do any of the following:
Press and hold the clickpad centre (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or the touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation), then select Add to Library.
Select the onscreen Add button .
In Now Playing, select the More button , then select Add to Library.
If you add a featured playlist, it remains in your library and updates automatically.
Remove a song, album or playlist from your library
Open Music on Apple TV, then navigate to Library.
Select a song, album or playlist.
Do one of the following:
Press and hold the clickpad centre (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or the touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation), then select Delete from Library.
In Now Playing, select the More button , then select Delete from Library.
Tell the Music app what you love
To help improve future recommendations, do one of the following in Music on Apple TV:
While a song is playing, press and hold the clickpad centre (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or the touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation), then select Love.
In Now Playing, select the More button , then select Love.
Get more songs by this artist
In Music on Apple TV, do any of the following:
Navigate to a song, press and hold the clickpad centre (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or the touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation), then select Go to Artist.
While viewing an album’s contents, select the More button , then select Go to Artist.
In Now Playing, select the More button , then select Go to Artist.
In Library, select the Artists category, select an artist, then select See more by [artist].
In Search, use the onscreen keyboard to enter an artist, select Apple Music, then select the artist.
On the artist screen, select the Favourite Artist button .
When you mark an artist as a favourite, they appear under Favourite Artists in Listen Now and their music is recommended more often.
Get more song, album or playlist options
In Music on Apple TV, do one of the following:
Get album or playlist options: While viewing an item’s contents, select the More button to add music to the queue, create a station based on the currently selected music, add songs to your own playlist, or rate whether you love a song or want to suggest fewer like this.
Get song options: Navigate to a song, then press and hold the clickpad centre (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or the touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation) to see more options. Depending on the song, you can choose to view the album or artist, add the song to your library, add it to a playlist, play it next or later, create a station, view lyrics, flag it as a song you love or don’t love, or suggest fewer songs like this.
