Set up the Fitness app on Apple TV with your Apple Watch or iPhone
Your Apple Watch or iPhone with iOS 16.1 or later syncs with the Fitness app on any Apple TV with tvOS 16.1 or later, so you can work out using your Apple Fitness subscription with your Apple TV at home, with an Apple TV in the office workout room, or with an Apple TV in a hotel room while you’re traveling.
Connect your Apple Watch or iPhone to Apple TV
Before you start a workout in the Fitness app on Apple TV, you must connect your Apple Watch or iPhone.
Open Fitness on Apple TV.
Choose your name, or choose Other if you don’t see your name.
If no one is signed in on your Apple TV, you may need to open the Workout app on Apple Watch or open the Fitness app on iPhone first (requires watchOS 7.2 or iOS 16.1 or later).
On your Watch or iPhone, tap Connect.
If prompted, tap Continue, then enter the code that appears on Apple TV into your Apple Watch or iPhone.
Note: To start a workout on Apple TV, your Apple Watch or iPhone must be unlocked and have Bluetooth turned on.
Choose who’s working out
If you use Family Sharing, you can easily switch between family members in the Fitness app on Apple TV. Friends or family outside of your Family Sharing circle who are Apple Fitness subscribers can also work out using your Apple TV.
Open Fitness on Apple TV.
Choose your name, or choose Other if you don’t see your name.
