Once a podcast starts playing, it appears in the Now Playing screen. The podcast continues to play even if you leave Podcasts, but it stops if you begin playing video or audio in another app.
On the Now Playing screen, you can control playback, navigate to other podcasts or select more options.
Ask Siri. Say: “Play” or “Pause”
With the Now Playing screen open on Apple TV, press the Back button (second-generation Siri Remote) or button (first-generation Siri Remote) to see additional controls.
Podcasts or episodes adjacent to the current podcast appear in the Now Playing queue. A timeline also appears showing elapsed and remaining time. When the timeline is active, you can also press the clickpad centre (second-generation Siri Remote) or the touch surface (first-generation Siri Remote) to play or pause the podcast.
Do any of the following:
Pause or play: Press the Play/Pause button on the Siri Remote.
Continuously rewind or fast forward: During playback, press and hold left or right on the clickpad ring (second-generation Siri Remote) or touch surface (first-generation Siri Remote). Press the clickpad centre or touch surface to pause, then press again to resume playback.
Go back to the beginning or skip to the next podcast or episode: Press left or right on the clickpad ring or touch surface.
Skip backwards or forwards 10 seconds: Navigate down to highlight the playhead, then press left or right on the clickpad ring or touch surface. Press again to skip another 10 seconds.
Play a different podcast: Highlight the podcast you want to play, then press the clickpad centre or the touch surface.
Move to a specific point in the podcast or episode: Navigate down to highlight the playhead, then navigate left or right to move backward or forward on the timeline.
With the Now Playing screen open on Apple TV, navigate to the episode in the centre of the screen, then press and hold the clickpad centre (second-generation Siri Remote) or touch surface (first-generation Siri Remote) to see more options:
