Change the services family members use in Family Sharing on Mac
As the family organizer, you can add, change, or stop the services that your family members can use.
For information about managing Family Sharing settings using an iOS or iPadOS device, see the Apple Support article Set up Family Sharing.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then select Family Sharing.
Do any of the following:
Purchase Sharing: Select Purchase Sharing in the sidebar to enable or disable purchase sharing for your family, change your payment method, or adjust other settings.
iCloud Storage: Select iCloud Storage in the sidebar, then either share your existing 200GB or 2TB iCloud Storage plan, or upgrade to a plan you can share with the Family. Family members can also choose to keep their own individual storage plans if they prefer. If you stop sharing iCloud storage, family members are given a grace period to continue using the shared storage after which they need to purchase a storage plan of their own.
Location Sharing: Select Location Sharing in the sidebar, then select or deselect the family members that you want to share your location with. If you haven’t set up Location Sharing, click Learn More to learn how to set it up on all your devices.
Screen Time: Select Screen Time in the sidebar to open the Screen Time preferences to get weekly reports about children’s screen time and set limits for what you want to manage. For more information about Screen Time, see What is Screen Time?
Ask To Buy: Select Ask To Buy in the sidebar, then select or deselect family members.
Family Sharing subscriptions: You can share your subscription to Apple Music, TV channels, and more with family members. Subscriptions that you share appear in the Family Sharing sidebar.
Apple Music: Select Apple Music in the sidebar and view your family’s subscription status. All family members are automatically subscribed when any family member subscribes.
Apple TV : Select Apple TV in the sidebar and view your family’s subscription status. All family members are automatically subscribed when any family member subscribes.
Apple Arcade (not available in all countries or regions): Select Apple Arcade in the sidebar and view your family’s subscription status. All family members are automatically subscribed when any family member subscribes.
Apple News : Select Apple News in the sidebar and view your family’s subscription status.
When you set up Family Sharing, a family photo album, a calendar, and a reminders list are provided for the subscribed family members to use. As the family organizer, you can delete these shared items so they aren’t available to family members.
