GESTEP
The GESTEP function determines if one number value is greater than or exactly equal to the second number value. This function uses exact equality. By comparison, the = comparison operator uses string-based equality.
GESTEP(compare-num, step-number)
compare-num: The number value to evaluate.
step-number: The number value to compare to.
Notes
GESTEP returns 1 (equivalent to the boolean value value TRUE) if compare-num is greater than or exactly equal to step-number; otherwise 0 (equivalent to the boolean value FALSE) is returned.
Examples |
---|
=GESTEP(-4, -5) returns 1 (TRUE), because -4 is greater than -5. =GESTEP(4, 5) returns 0 (FALSE), because 4 is less than 5. =GESTEP(5, 4) returns 1 (TRUE), because 5 is greater than 4. =GESTEP(20, 20) returns 1 (TRUE), because 20 is exactly equal to 20. |
