FaceTime app at a glance
Use the FaceTime app on Apple TV to connect face to face with anyone while taking advantage of your TV’s larger screen.
In the FaceTime app, you can:
Connect your iPhone or iPad to use its camera, or set a dedicated device to use as your FaceTime camera with Apple TV 4K. See Use your iPhone or iPad as a web camera with Apple TV.
Make FaceTime calls directly from Apple TV 4K, answer incoming video or audio calls, or hand off calls in progress from an iPhone or iPad.
Adjust FaceTime controls during a call, turn on Split View, and add reactions with hand gestures.
Watch movies together and work out together with SharePlay.
Note: FaceTime requires an Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later) with tvOS 17.2 or later and one of the following: iPhone XR or later (including iPhone SE 2nd generation) with iOS 17; iPad (8th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later), or iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later) with iPadOS 17.2.
