Stream recommended songs from Apple Music on Mac
When you subscribe to Apple Music, recommendations improve over time as you play music, select artists as favourites and tell Apple Music what you like and dislike.
Note: Apple Music, lossless and Dolby Atmos aren’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Go to the Music app on your Mac.
Do any of the following to find music you want to play:
View recommendations tailored for you: Click Home in the sidebar, then find music you recently played, personal playlists created for you, genres you might like and more.
See what’s new in Apple Music: Click New in the sidebar, then find music by mood, new releases, charts and more.
Find personalised playlists: Click Made For You in the sidebar to see playlists based on your listening profile and history.
Note: Personalised playlists appear in the Made For You section when you add them to your library. If you don’t see Made For You, you can add it to the sidebar.
Search the Apple Music catalogue: See Search for music.
Move the pointer over any song, album or playlist, then click .
Albums and songs available in lossless have the Lossless button next to them. Albums and songs available in Dolby Atmos have the Dolby button next to them.
You can also shuffle and repeat songs, queue them up in a specific order, sort them or prevent a song from playing.
Tip: Apple Music creates a series of special insights and playlists — highlighting the music you listen to most — for every year you’re a subscriber.
