A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
Karts. Nitro. Action! SuperTuxKart is a 3D Open Source arcade kart racer with multiple characters, tracks and modes you can play. Beat the evil Nolok by any means necessary, and make the mascot kingdom safe once again!
We want to make the game fun more than we want to make it realistic. You can play with up to 8 friends on one PC, race against each other, just try to beat the computer, or network multiplayer is available too.

Would you ever consider using itch.io's 'butler' tool to publish STK updates here? It would provide better compatibility with the itch desktop client, allowing for automatic updates, file integrity checks, and just overall smoother installation, among other things.

It's FOSS and can be used in automated build/deploy pipelines, if those are concerns.

just saying 2010 mac mini is like buying a $300 or $400 laptop/pc today. Cause its so behind on performance and features. No idea why im saying this lol as long as it works.

This is a great game, i love the difficulty of this games, there is no lag or any other issue by playing this game. I highly recommend it. I made a video if someone is interested. Let me know in the YouTube comments if also liked this game.

Possibly. It's written in C , which can be compiled for the web using Emscripten. Though, this would probably require a lot of effort to make the native window drawing code instead write to an HTML canvas

There is a linux ARM64 version. Can't imagine it would be too hard to do. Then again, I'm not fluent with the STK engine..

The monetary fee to put the game on Steam would be a terrible use of developer resources in my opinion.
you're right, i would talk about the Steam Greenlight, but i'm a few years late for that. I Don't know much about the game backend, but maybe in the future, i believe that the community can help to take the game to different plataforms.

What engine does SuperTuxKart use ?
For anyone stumbling onto this I found the answer myself: the Irrlicht Engine.
I love it, but how do you fix the issue of the assets disappearing in the game especially when you use the plunger.
its annoying I have lost 10 races because I kept falling of the track without knowing where I was, please fix this issue its annoying.
Can you try lower the graphical quality?
This seems like driver bug or out of memory in your graphics card
Or you can try edit config.xml in the directory:
change force_legacy_device="false" to force_legacy_device="true" and restart stk and see if it helps
I have my graphics all in high, but I disabled motion blur. Can you suggest me what to disable and enable on graphics to where the game looks good while not having this issue?
(I still haven't tried the other method)
I recall this happening after I got an account and when I joined a server that was all bots. The game didn't have this issue before I joined that server, I was just enjoying the game offline with high graphics, the issue wasn't there until I joined that server.
There is the graphical setting preset (1-6) you can change to lower one
