Scalesmith - Age of Dragons
Can you collect enough scales and become powerful enough to defeat the final boss?
Progress will be saved if you return to the main menu, but not if the page is refreshed.
Stand near a healing fountain to quickly regenerate health.
Stand near a portal to teleport to different areas.
Thanks for playing! Any feedback/comments/ratings are greatly appreciated :)
I made this for the GMTK 2024 game jam, which is my first ever. There was a lot I wanted to change and add, but with the time allotted I couldn't get to everything (classic solo-dev over scoping). I had so much fun, and learned a lot through the process nonetheless. I look forward to making many more games in the future!
I would love to continue improving upon this game and evolving it beyond the game jam, so feel free to leave a comment with any suggestions!
Plans for future updates:
Status effects
Weapon and Armor crafting
Enhanced scale upgrade/perks system
More mobs and enemy move sets
More areas with larger level design
Art/Animation/Audio overhaul
Cutscenes and improved story
Changelog:
V1.1
Reduced number of scales dropped by mobs for balancing
Fixed a number of bugs
V1.2
Reduced number of starting scales from 999 to 0 (Whoopsies! Forgot to change the value from testing -_-)
V1.3
Added a working options menu so that you can change the volume
V1.4
Balance adjustments, dialogue changes, more bug fixes
Known Issues:
Burn and Slow not implemented yet
Cannot restart boss unless you have scales
Crosshair visual bugged
Can sometimes collide with mobs after their death
I will try to get all of these resolved when I have the time!
