Super Momotarou Dentetsu (SUPER 桃太郎電鉄? lit. Super Momotarou Electric Railway) is a train-themed board game with financial elements developed by Hudson first for the PC Engine and published in Japan on September 15, 1989. It was later ported to the Game Boy in 1991, and then to the Famicom in 1992. Despite having the word "Super" in the title, it was never released on the Super Famicom. It is the second game in the Momotarou Dentetsu series and was followed by Super Momotarou Dentetsu II.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]
The game features Hudson's Momotarou character, based on the Japanese folklore hero of the same name. The goal of the game is to travel the map and acquire territory through business deals, similar to Monopoly or Itadaki Street. Players have to contend with each other for limited resources, as well as CPU threats like the God of Poverty. It is based on the rules of the original Momotarou Dentetsu, but the rules have been changed significantly and the elements of the battle game have been improved.
