The car list in Need for Speed: Underground 2 does not completely consist of tuners, unlike Need for Speed: Underground. The car list now also consists of a couple of muscle cars and even includes three SUVs. The player can have up to 5 cars in his/her garage. Cars are free of charge as the first car the player buys is covered by insurance from his wrecked Nissan Skyline GT-R that was shown at the beginning of the plot. The other 4 cars are paid for by your sponsors as it is a bonus in your four contracts, even after you completed your contracts.
