Story[edit | edit source]

The game opens with a short cutscene. One day, Mario, Peach and a few toads were on a fair. They were playing with a machine that turned them into a ball, to later be shot into a target. A Toad went first, and it went alright. However, when Peach got in, a few Goombas changed the direction of the machine, and sent Peach to Bowser's Castle. Mario then decides to turn into a ball himself, and go across the kingdom in order to save Peach. The twist here, is that since Mario turned himself into a ball, he must advance through the world through pinball mechanics.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

The game is pinball but with Mario elements. You control the flippers that you can use in order to give Mario the direction you need in order to do certain things in each section. You get points and/or coins by hitting the various objects and enemies laid out in each section. Across these sections, there's stars that you can earn. The way of earning stars may differ in each section, but in most, the star appears after beating all of the enemies that are in the section (for the first time only). Between the flippers there's a space in which Mario can fit through, and if he does, he'll return to the previous stage, and if you fall in the first section of a stage, you'll lose a life. Mario can not be destroyed, however he can be hit by certain enemies, and objects, altering the path he was taking before the collision occurred. Additionally, some sections are underwater, and in these, Mario can be sent upwards, in order to hit certain objects across the section.
