I"d like to start this review by stating that I am not new to Titanfall 2. I had around 2 days worth of playtime on Xbox before purchasing it here to revisit a large part of my childhood.

After having completed the whole game, unlocking all 50 achievements, as well as currently being addicted to the multiplayer, it is safe for me to say that Titanfall 2 is the single greatest FPS game made so far. It beats so many others by miles and with ease. This is down to multiple things that i will briefly run through. This review is mainly from a multiplayer point-of-view but i will talk about the campaign.

1. The Movement - This has to be some of the best movement in any game ever. From wall-running to grappling to double-jumping to sliding, everything has a flow to it and it feels satisfying to simply move around. The mechanics are very easy to understand yet allow for further skill, providing players with a relatively high skill ceiling in movement alone that also has a low skill floor.

2. The Gunplay - One word - satisfaction. Every weapon feels incredibly satisfying to use thanks to the visual and auditory feedback. Shooting and killing an enemy with an Alternator is one of my favourite things to do thanks to the pure bliss i feel from the satisfaction it provides. Alongside this, all weapons are used slightly differently and can excel in certain play-styles. There isn"t a meta weapon at all and you can dominate the game with any of them, something i think is exclusive to this game having played many FPS games.

3. The Gameplay - As a whole, gameplay is incredible. The fast-paced action has you hooked for match after match. Flow is a big part of this game and it"s very prominent here. EVERYTHING flows. The game manages to not slow down at all when in a titan, something i imagine would have been incredibly difficult to pull off since titan gameplay is almost an entirely different game.

4. The Campaign - Easily one of the best stories i have had the joy of playing through. Every mission has it"s own unique mechanics and style. This is (obviously) best shown in Effect and Cause. The time warping mechanics are pulled off incredibly, making for an incredibly fun mission. Outside of mission styles, the story told is amazing and the bond between BT and Cooper is one of the best dynamics i have seen in media. I could go on for hours about how in-depth the story goes beneath surface level but i think that"s best experienced for yourself.

5. The Music - A short point but one the game does not miss on. The soundtrack is cinematic yet un-comforting in places. Displaying the horrors of war alongside the glory of the fight. BT-7274 is an iconic song that demonstrates the sheer quality of the game.

Despite Titanfall 2 turning 8 this October, it still manages to hold it"s own against all releases both before and after it"s release. The game is still graphically stunning and stylistically unique even after games like Rdr2 have released.

Unfortunately, the game has been all but abandoned by Respawn and EA in favour of Apex Legends, leaving this masterpiece with little-to-no updates for the past couple years. However, the community is still going incredibly strong and the game in most certainly not dead. The lowest player-count i"ve seen was around 1,500, yet at pique times this number can reach highs of up to 11,000 (from what i"ve seen). The community is also incredibly welcoming and strong, with the worst things i"ve seen simply being players taking out there rage in the chat.

This game is easily a 10/10 even after all this time. I could not recommend it enough to anyone. Somehow it still manages to be one of my favourite games of all time.

One of the best games I"ve played in a long long time. It has it"s issues but all of it"s positives ultimately outweigh it"s negatives

this game is overpriced and it made me lose my gold digger wife

its a really cool puzzle game and has its fair moments of comical humor
