Great game

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is great. Been a while since I played 2018, but i feel like this has been more enjoyable

Good game

This DLC brings lots of new and exciting bosses that expand upon the souls experience. The angels are terribly designed and are super unfun as they snipe you from across the map and cannot be killed. The bosses are super fun and engaging, every single one is great, but Midir was absolutely amazing and is one of my favourite dragon fights in all of souls, and Gael is just perfectly designed with his attacks.

If you're tight on cash, just get Ringed City. Ashes of Ariandel felt very lackluster except for the final boss, but with the money you save purchasing the bundle it can be justified

The only good part is the main boss. It's an amazing fight and one of my favorite souls bosses. I finished the DLC in about 5 hours, and in general it felt very empty. Few new enemies, large open spaces with very little loot and 1, maybe 2 points of interest. It's essentially a $15 boss fight.

If you are planning on getting DLC for this game, buy either Ringed City as it has significantly more content for the same price or save some money and get the season pass. This DLC alone is not worth full price.

Normal enemies killed me more than bosses

Harder than the main game, bosses love their 10-hit combos, but it's still really fun

Edit: The final boss is ridiculously tanky, has huge AoE attacks, and leaves very little opening for dealing any sliver of damage. I love hard bosses, but it's just pure unfun design, and it needs to be severely changed/nerfed.
