I'm very happy to be able to support Tower Unite. It's a nice place to hang out and play mini games every now and then, and the level of creativity they allow when creating homes or game maps is the best I've experienced. It's like a second home!

The developers continue to do a good job at updating the game. With every improvement, it feels better and better to play. I especially like the additional information regarding the new and existing ghosts. It is a consistent game in my library. Excited to see where the development journey takes us!

I've noticed their are a lot of negative reviews for this game but I believe it's because people are used to being fed 18 hours of endless gaming content rather than enjoying a genuine story-telling experience. The fact that this game provides you with evidence but doesn't hold your hand and allows you to think for yourself about what's happening is so refreshing and a plus for me. I enjoy the freedom to choose the type of character that Howard is even if it doesn't impact the story. I also enjoyed that depending on what dialogue you choose, the game will give you hints into character backgrounds, relationships, feelings, etc. It promotes a second playthrough, which I think is worth it to get a better interpretation of the story. I believe that this game becomes what you take away from it. I really enjoyed it and I hope others will give it a fair chance.

The White Door shows us more of the man who we met at the bar in Cube Escape: Theater and Case 23 as well as more detail about the woman who's story spans across the various Cube Escape games. Having played the games in order, I think this was a really nice wrap-up to any plot holes or backgrounds that were not fully explored. This game is meant to tell a story and I think the Rusty Lake crew continues to do that very well.

The White Door and the crew at Rusty Lake know how to diversify their simple puzzles so they don't feel boring or repetative.

Additionally, the format of the overall game style is different from what we were shown in Cube Escape and Rusty Lake. It gives you two side-by-side panels/pages, like a book, and the lack of color made me feel like I was in The White Door, too. It was kept simple and fairly direct.

Overall, I think this installment is another short, excellent story teller and worth trying out.

Many people have said that it is hard for new players to come to and that you'd likely need a guide to help a little bit. I agree but otherwise found the game quite entertaining and the concept is simple. Bonus points for design/art style!

All games come with their cons and Deceit is no different...
- The loading screen frequently freezes
- Characters get stuck in the ground or on objects
- Sometimes things don't load correctly (no trees, rocks, walls)
- Although random, the chance of being infected seems to heighten the more you lose
- Menu group chat doesn't seem to work

My opinion on the Cons:
- Loading times could be better
- More map variety would be nice

The community could also be better. I have found a lot of people screaming nonsense in games, drowning out other serious players and firing off shots willy nilly. In a casual match this doesn't effect much but it is also frequent in Ranked games.

Players also bash each other for not having a mic.

The game does not require one, although it helps to be able to talk quickly with your teammates. The game offers quick chat and typed chat. In a game called Deceit, a player should be paying attention to every aspect of the game - even the chat. A serious player who uses the chat will be overlooked many times because people simply don't read it. I have heard people without a mic be harassed and essentially sh*t on for not owning one as well.

Despite all of its cons, I continue playing.

In its current stage, it shouldn't be taken too seriously. If you play with friends or get lucky and find a genuine group of people, this game can be very fun. I like the accessories the game provides, the different terror options that come with their own skills and the perk trees. Although this game DOES lean towards the negative side of things, I would recommend it, if only to give it a try once in your life.

As of 2020, there are still plenty of bug fixes (losing a backpack and having it sink through the map, Zombies jumping waaaay higher than they should, etc.) and other updates to be done on this game but I think the developers are doing a pretty good job. It is a multiplayer game that all friends can agree upon because it doesnt ask you for too much nor does it classify as a "Walking simulator". I do have to say that the recent update is a little uncomfortable, mainly because I've been used to the way things were before the update. I do like the addition of the visability meter when you crouch - it offers a better estimate of your stealth rather than having an eye open or close in the center of your screen. I also found the consequences of being out of stamina a little annoying because you can't do anything during that time, although short, but it does force the character to level up and begin crafting better items as well as force the player to be even more strategic (EX. given my stamina meter, can I make it from point A to point B in time).

Overall, I think the game still has a way to go and is on track with its potential. It is something I would definately recommend if you haven't played it yet.

UPDATE: It is now 2021 and they are STILL updating it! Always improving to make a great experience for their players. Still a nice game to lose time in c:
