Ark is a fun game and has been for the past 5 years. The announcement of the upgrade of ark to unreal engine 5 had a lot of players excited however this seems like another cash grab and has disappointed me greatly. As per the announcement it seems as though players that wont buy the ascended version wont be able to continue playing the game on official servers if they are switched off. I have enjoyed playing ark however i will not be playing ark in the future considering the direction its being taken.
