I've played 2 4x games, being this and Civ 6. Although an insane game in its own right, Civ 6 does not offer the same level of diversity between worlds. In Civ i played as England, then England, then Italy.. it just feels like im playing the same game but with slightly different bonuses. In AOW, I started my first game as an orc leader and got crushed because I was a complete noob, I started again and made a different looking orc.. nothing much different yet..

At the end of the game I had an army of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ demon orcs that could fly and had flaming swords. I also had some giant Balor which could wipe our an entire army in 2 moves.

I'm now on a new game, playing as "dark" rats and im specialising in magic and spells. It feels like im playing a completely different game.

This is definitely not the most complex game you will ever play, but if you are relatively new to 4x games this is where to start. I'm addicted already. Well worth the £40 in my opinion.

Unfortunately this game just falls in to the same bracket as all the other indie survival games. Its literally just a spawn die simulator. I ran from one town to the next finding nothing but pointless mechanical parts which I couldn't carry anyway. When I finally found a backpack, 2 zombies tanked 2 full spears durability and eventually killed me. There is no skill to this game either, its literally just left click to attack. Oh and just to top it off, the "m" button to open the map doesnt work, so good luck knowing where u even are. This game has the basics down, but needs a lot of work.

Ive been back and fourth with rust, but as long as you choose the right server its a good game. The updates recently have been huge. One thing I would say though, is that scripting is rampant atm and as someone with 4k hours its quite easy to tell when someone is. Unless you want to have unfair, script based fights, Id suggest playing lower pop, less popular servers.

I do not advise anyone to buy this game anymore. It used to be a great game back before they added terrible empty maps that give you 30 fps on a decent rig. The game is overpriced, outdated by its free competitor (ring of elysium) which has far better graphics, animations and fps. Oh and let me just add that in pubg if you lower your settings below "high" you wont be able to see past the length of your penis. Do not buy this game, terrible combat and overall a 'no effort from the devs' kind of game.

i dont know why everyone is so toxic towards this game. Its a brilliant game, the thing that is missing is players. Its an early access and unless people give it a chance there will not be anyone to even pvp against. Once this game gets popular it will be super fun im sure!

its a decent game but please wait for a sale, play for the free weekend first and NEVER buy the starter edition. Its a scam and you cant upgrade at a later date. You will have to make a new steam account just to get a better edition of the game

i have enough hours to rant about this game for years. It has been my most played game of all time.. So, is it any good? well you can make your own decision about that!
so, first of all lets talk about the devs shall we? well if im completely honest id say they dont give a flying F*ck about the community or of anyones ideas and changes... at this point in the game i am finding it easier to make a base, farm explosives and raid someone, instead of logging into my friends server and gearing up in a populated city to mess with him. is this good? yeah! so you can raid easily! sweet! BUT... how many of these raids do you actually have the chance to defend your base? Not many.. not many at all. It is the communities job to keep servers in order by continuously offline raiding the best pvpers with the smallest base. I have repeatedly experienced my base getting raided due to myself or my friend upsetting a large zerg clan by completely annhialating them in pvp fights. I could go on for much longer but i dont want to put you off to much. Im going to reccomend this game because id prefer to keep the game alive so my skins get higher in price and some rich kids buy them.
conclusion- dont buy this game unless you want to spend day in day out grinding resources which will probably get offline raided by a group of noobs. Also, make sure you have people to play with otherwise you may aswell not bother at all!!! thanks for reading!!
