That being said.
After a while, you realize the AI is absolutely horrendous. This is especially obvious in The Town. The demon always knows where you are and straight up sprints to your location randomly, and as far as i can tell there is nothing you can do to avoid this. Crouching and turning off your flashlight does a whole lot of nothing to help. The footsteps of the demons are bad, in the sense that if you are in the same house with him, it will seem like he is right next to you, even if he's in fact on the other side of the house.
There's also the issue of the game relying on darkness way too much. I understand wanting to create a spooky atmosphere, but making it so you can't see 2 feet in front of you is not the way to go. Especially when things look pretty same-y.
