[Edit]
After playing more, I have to give this game a thumbs down, even though it shows so much promise. There is a big flaw in its overarching game design, which is its camp. The camp conversations are long, arbitrary, linear (even though they appear otherwise) and ultimately add little to the game, because you get bored. The actual conversations and interactions are solid, the animations are on point, but it feels like they said "let's do one battle, then have forced roleplaying to build story and then repeat over and over". It doesn't feel natural, it feels gamey, and it takes you out of the flow- and too much time between the skirmishes, which are the highlight. I think their next game which learned lessons from this one, should be better. I still believe in the studio, they just missed the mark with this one.

Previous review: This indie studio is something to watch. I'm excited about their continual development of this underlying tactics system, with good graphics, challenging decisions, and solid voice acting.
While this game itself is an even 7/10 - I think their future games will only improve upon this. And if you're looking for a fantasy tactics set in a war where you're a commander, then this is a really worthwhile game to add to your library.
