I lost everything...

I left off a positive review at first, but now two months after launch I have not touched this game at all.

This is a LIVE SERVICE game with no hook and no identity, it's like that aspect was an after thought.

After the season 1 patch my game still runs at subpar performance, and has 20 FPS dips randomly, which at the state of current AAA today is not rare to have performance issues day 1, but we are on day 60 and the devs are still showing a lack of expertise, organization, and creativity.

DC literature has more depth than any scriptures in any religion yet, all they writing, concepts, skins (even paid ones), and plot are uninspired, boring, flat, generic, monotone, and dull.

Completely unacceptable and wish I spent the money that I wasted on this game at a nice restaurant instead, hell even 70$ at Arby's is money better spent.

I'll still pop in here and there to see the state of the game, but the fundamentals are weak and the pillars holding it up are made of plywood. I hope I'm proven wrong but this is a disastrous launch, and I can't see this game living longer than the year of planned content for 2024 before being shut off.

(Also the lack of transparency and communication from Rocksteady has been awful, comparable to giving birth to a child and dissapering off to a different country for the rest of your life)

It’s a good game but I’m not sure about the price point.

I wish the characters would actually blink or be more expressive, the game tries you to connect with them while also trying to remind you that it’s just a game.

Combat is repetitive, I actively tried to go into the changing rooms to lose heat just because if hot repetitive it is.

Tricks, there could be more. I felt like i was doing the same thing over an over since there’s not much variation compared to games like Skate and THPS, which are different but it would’ve been cool to have a weird mix of Jet Set and THPS.

Soundtrack is amazing but it felt too repetitive at times. SFX could be a little bit more expressive.

Also the font for the Heat “bar” is super basic compared to the rest of the UI for some reason which kind of bothered me.

I know i’ve been complaining this whole review but I really did love this game that’s why I hope if there’s a sequel these issues are taken into consideration.

Overall it’s a high 8/10

This game is my version of that moment in Ratatoille where the guy eats the Ratatoille and gets taken back to the first time he ate Ratatoille.
