After the release of The Final Shape, I"ve come to understand that it"s time for a new review, here"s how it"s proceeded:
Destiny 2 is a game where like most MMO"s you get lured in by "Free-to-play," and when you decide to give it a crack, and you soon realize that EVERY piece of FTP content has been removed from the game, because it makes the game "too large," and then you realize YET AGAIN, that even paid expansions, such as Destiny 2"s poster child, "Forsaken" has ALSO been vaulted.
You may think to yourself, "This HAS to be Bungie"s fault for making it this way then," and while you"re PARTIALLY right, I offer something that may change your mind. F*****g executive"s, bigwigs, and shareholders are what GENUINELY ruined this game. At the time that Bungie went solo, and opp"ed to run D2 under themselves, and not Activision, they never had any parent company to keep their business, so naturally, they HAD to make some sorta money (which is still a terrible way on how they did it). Ever since the layoffs at Bungie, including the famous composer Michael Salvatori (I love you Michael, pls marry me <3) I have founded the true opinion that I don"t hate Bungie, but their parent company :)))) Literal menaces to society.
I have begun to understand that this game will no longer be able to thrive off nostalgia, and anticipation, instead, we"re left with a franchise that will continuously shift into something we don"t recognize anymore.
And is that bad? Personally, I don"t think so.

You might also question me with, "Then why are you giving this game a positive review then?" Because it"s GENUINELY the most fun I"ve had in a video game, and that statement proves itself given the 3111 hours (and counting) of the amount of time that I"ve spent in this game. Yeah, I wouldn"t be considered the greatest VIDEO GAME of all time, I WOULD consider it to be the most dopamine-chasing game of all time.
