Rivals of Aether is an excellent game for those that are fans of platform brawlers. The game has an amazing roster of fighters that players can choose from, with each fighter having their own unique movesets and elemental special attacks. The game also has an excellent tutorial to help new players learn the technical moves to play at high levels while providing veterans with movement and mechanics that they can feel right at home with. I personally found myself right at home with the controls because I am familiar with Super Smash Bros. Melee. This game is fun, however for those entering the game later after its relaese, the expereince may be a little difficult. Rivals is mostly a competetive game and is not noob frinedly. It took a lot of trial and error to learn but it was worth it. I learned by getting my ass kicked, all while listening to the amazing songs in the game.

Positives aside, the only negatives I would have to say for the game would be the unfortunate connection in online ranked/exhibition mode. I am an East Coast player for instance, so if I get put in the same game with the same player from South America three times or more, naturally it would get old fast.

The game has an active community with many different players to train and even learn from in the Rivals Discord servers. For anyone who wishes to improve, join competeive tournaments, or just be active in the community its a great place to start. If you are player that is fond of Smash Bros. you might just pick this one up too.
