I'm going to open up this review with a quote from one of my nation's past Presidents, Mr.John F. Kennedy:

"We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too."

This is a game where you will suffer.
Even prepared YOU WILL suffer. This is a fact. Every enemy, every encounter, every mission, your entire play through Is a taxing en-devour that is a practice of patience, focus, and learning.
Even with all the tools you could ever need, every weapon, every strategy, every whim within your soul, you are never more than an arms reach away from defeat, sometimes crushing defeat, enough to suck the wind from your sails and sink your boat.
But I tell you, beyond all this,
The obstacles, the trials, defeats, failures, painstaking bouts of difficulty; I found solace and motivation in two ideas:

"I will see the end, I will not be stopped, I. Will. Win."
and
"Iguazu is a punk a** bit**, I should beat his a** again with a dagger and a buckler"

I Really love this game,
I have already played through this game 3 times on PC and I am working on my 2nd play-through on Xbox.

I was never bored as I chunked my way through the first game, with the heaviest build i could muster just to keep my health from depleting, or in my 7th, where I am literally in a tissue box held together with glue and a few turbo lasers stapled to my arms because i want to fly fast and eat...grass ;)
the best way I can describe the feeling of playing this game, over and over and over again, is to look back at that first quote. The culmination and meaning of to me:

"I will do this because I can, I will win because I choose to"

The biggest pro for me is the capturing of that childhood feeling of mech combat I used to feel in chromehounds, stomping around in a mobile fortress ready to decimate the hillside just to kill one dude in a tank.
The customization, the data stat-lines, the new unlocks with every play-through, cheffs kiss

PVP (in the same skill level) is a wonderful blast, just a bunch of dudes running around a giant battlefield smashing eachother to bits with everything from lasers, heavy artillery, even a CHAINSAW FIST (Roleplay as a space marine anyone?)
I have not enjoyed the pvp of a game so much.

And most importantly; T HE EM B L EM E D I T O R
this baby functions just like it did in the old call of duty games, so you can make whatever you want.
I have...seen things... mostly good : ) and fully customization paint schemes down to the trim of your mechanical innards, love it.

However, I will concede on a few things as cons:

this game can be some BULL-SHI*,
your enemies will always be just as fast, if not faster than you.
Some enemies will have special move-sets that you will not know about until its too late, beating you into submission and forcing you to go back to the checkpoint with your head stuck in your but.
They will even have the same weapons as you, and just make you look like a fool while they dance around your still warm engine innards

There is a noticeable lack of variety in the missions.
I still enjoy playing them, but other could be turned off by having to do multiple play-throughs just to be able to play a few new missions.
And by a few, i mean only around 3-5 new missions on the second play-through, and about the same for the third.

Biggest warning here, also my biggest contradiction:

PVP(outside normal skill level) Can suck tremendous As*

As I said before, I really enjoy the pvp alot.
And I'm no slouch to getting dumpstered every now and then. I always just fall back on the core message of this games combat: 'If it doesn't work, try something else' and I have yet to meet anyone i couldn't beat at least once and still have a good time.
But I can see the writing on the wall, the times of everyone having little timmy guns and mech parts is already over.
New players will join in the pvp and see what could only be described as:
"♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aliens flying across the sky, nuking my cheeks into oblivion"
And with certain parts being unlocked only by finding logs and completing alternative play-through missions, newer players will be at a MASSIVE disadvantage.

Closing thoughts.
Iv'e already typed up a whole Novella about why this game is the teets, so I'll keep this short.

If you buy this game remember this.
"If it's not working, try something else"
"If you lose, choose to win instead, don't get held down by your failures"
"This game is hard not because you're stupid, its hard because you haven't learned yet"
and finally, and I cannot stress this enough
"Iguazu is a lazy punk as* bastard who deserves to get his cheeks clapped at every opportunity"

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to finish my other 2 play-throughs on Xbox, God Bless america.
